When he's not at work, he can be found in his apartment, eating, masturbating, gaming, or both. He is not a Hyena of many talents as his hobbies include the previously mentioned, cooking and smoking weed. He has a habit of picking activities up and dropping them and has explored knitting, bonsai tending, blacksmithing, DJing, hip hop dance, and a number of things that didn't keep his attention for more than a few weeks. Programming and robotics seem to be the only things that have stuck, albeit extremely casually. Max can appear to be quiet or withdrawn, but not because he's shy or holding his tongue. He tends to get absorbed in his thoughts and he's usually high, which makes him less than talkative and lacking some of the social tact accrued from years spent at an all girls etiquette school. In conversation he's charming enough, doing what he can to appeal to whoever he's talking to, working to observe them. He takes a bit of pride in being able to read people, or at least in being a good listener. He generally sees being mean-spirited as a waste of his energy and would rather use what little time he has outside of work to have a positive influence on like, the general vibe. Not to say he can't deal with folks who are more aggressive by nature, he's not a pushover by any means. Once you are past casual acquaintances, a friendship with Max is very low maintenance. Max suffers from BPD, which he self medicates with weed. He can be prone to depression, black and white thinking, splitting and the usual symptoms, but is fairly emotionally intelligent and and tries to remain 'high functioning'. All in all, Max is easy-going and tries to be a people pleaser (This may have something to do with his extensive background in customer service.). He still has his moments of cynicism and immaturity, but he tries to keep himself happy and sane and avoid confrontation. Max is not a genius but has a sharp mind when he's not completely toasted. He's a quick learner, and always interested in trying new things from food, to people, to experiences.
