Ala van de Lucht

Her first unique trait is the dragon-like wings. She can make them appear and disappear whenever she wants, but each time her wings appear, they also tear holes in the back of her t-shirt, so she always has a spare cheap t-shirt in her bag. She likes to fly, but in the city area it's difficult to find dark places to fly without being seen.
Only her parents know that she has wings (her father is a dragon who can turn into a human (or the other way around). He can also just let his wings appear. Ala may be able to turn into a full dragon in the future, but she hasn't succeeded in doing that yet. Her mother is a normal human (and very good at keeping secrets).
Ala's other unique trait is that Ala's sense of direction is very good (also when in "normal human form"). It often surprises other people when she knows exactly where they are or in which direction they need to go, so when she's going somewhere with a group of people she knows, they trust Ala's directions more than anyone else's.

History:

Ala's mother is a normal human, but her father is a dragon who can turn into a human. Only her parents know that she has wings (her father is a dragon who can turn into a human (or the other way around). He can also just let his wings appear. Ala may be able to turn into a full dragon in the future, but she hasn't succeeded in doing that yet. Her mother is a normal human (and very good at keeping secrets).

Ala went to a normal high school in the Netherlands, but because the area they lived in was quite densely populated, she was never allowed to fly around during daylight. Her parents still insisted that she finished "human high school", but as for college, she was allowed to go to one that was more accomodating towards non-humans.

- thunderstorms (that makes flying difficult)

- illnesses that can harm normal humans, can also harm her.

Extra Information: 

"Ala" is Latin for "wing". Her last name means "of the sky".
