Elumei is a quiet and generally mysterious figure- taking the form of almost anything she desires to bring death across the many universes. She can exist in many places at once, and even if she doesn't physically appear her presence always looms.

She is exceptionally kind to those who are dying, understanding of their confusion and fear and plight. While she can be harsh in dealing out the reality to them, and can come across as aggressive, she is always apologetic and patient with them and explaining the process of moving on to them. She never rushes people away from their loved ones.

Due to the nature of her being, many aren't really sure if she's an evil party or not. Generally speaking, she is not evil and wants simply to maintain the balance of life and death, even if it means innocents meeting their time early. She doesn't choose the times of people's passing- only escorts them along the way.

While she is very kind to people in general, those who deal a lot of harm to others or make a mockery of her and what she stands for- she will gladly toy with or terrify them to their graves. She can be ruthless in hunting down those she has a personal vendetta for. 

Elumei wasn't a formation god, she took over from the previous (And original) god of death, Valefor, when he decided to retire and rejoin the circle of life to be reborn and pursue happiness he was unable to find in his former role as the bringer of death- one that he suffered greatly for for the perception it carried. While Elumei didn't choose this role, it was rather forced upon her- she did as she must to preserve the balance of all things. However, choosing a more active position than Valefor- who preferred to wait in the wings. Elumei became a more literal "grim reaper", showing her face far more frequently. She became the first new age god following the goddess of the moon after the replacements of the former god pantheon heads.

She was created by mistake from the excess magical output of the goddess of survival and rage, formed as an entity of death to restore balance upon the former god's waning power. She sees the goddess as her 'mother' (of a sort) even though they're really not blood related further than magical essence. They're greatly competitive with one another, but ultimately enjoy the challenge of fighting

She quickly became a force to be reckoned with, leaving a trail of destruction in her wake and fighting off gods, mortals -or anyone else who would try and free souls from their time of deaths. Something that had become a problem and commonplace with the weakening of the previous god.

She is an enigma most times, and her motives are generally unspoken. 

Despite the fact she is death, she has a high respect for life and can show mercy to turn back the clocks for people she deems deserving (however, this is incredibly rare)
