Profile

I kept forgetting submit them here so here they are 👌✨✨ They're my Indieville rp oc

■ Name: Renzo Vasco

â–  Class: Rogue

â–  Favorite Food:Charcoal Cheeseburgers

â–  Items: Chain Whip (weapon that they wear as a belt), box of vine charcoal, smartphone, gameboy, headphones (not pictured, white skull-like mask that they usually carry in their backpack)

■ Personality: Upon first glance they seem rather brash, mischievous, acerbic, and a bit of a drama queen with a 1.5 multiplier of a devil-may-care attitude and a petty, vindictive streak longer than the Nile. But once one gets to know Renzo they start to see how they're more laid back and friendly than they first appeared along with surprisingly being able to be very nurturing and caring as well. Along with oddly somewhat of a "chronic hero" syndrome. Though some people have reported to still feel an overwhelming sense of dread, some underlying mischievous menace and a feeling like they can't look directly at them no matter how hard they try.

■ Stats:

     TOUGHNESS: OO

     STURDINESS: OOOO

     CONFIDENCE:  OOOO

     INTUITION:  OOO

     LUCK: OO

■ Background: Rather secretive about their background, Renzo prefers to sit on the sidelines, pop some popcorn and enjoy the show. They just showed up one day in town (though some people may say that the moon and stars were in quite a particular position that night) with only the clothes on their back and a backpack full of junk. They claimed that they were looking to get "away from it all" and to have some "me time," but from what, people don't know. But it's not like they were trying to take a break from their overzealous mentor and their draining progress on their anthropology degree that they are starting to regret or anything... What people do know is that they seem to have traveled from some small seaside town in New England and says that Indieville kind of reminds them of "...home, but without all of the dime-a-dozen esoteric cults constantly trying to recruit you." Also that while their parents had long since died in their adolescence, they still have a grandfather and sister that they keep in regular contact with along with a handful of friends, human or otherwise, from said seaside town. Either way, this is their "vacation" and they're gonna try and enjoy it as much as possible (until Rosalind comes and collects their cowardly ass to finish that 30 page paper of the intricate secret societies of New England that they owe her).

â–  RP method: I can do both script and paragraph formats, and I can rp in a variety of different ways, such as: discord, deviantart notes, skype, google docs, etc. but I do prefer discord!

■ Shipping?: Ehhhhhhhhh maybe some platonic shipping? But nothing romantic or sexual. Since they're kind of still crushing hard on someone from their hometown.

Optional Fields:

â–  Job:Runaway college student Currently Unemployed but if you give them an "offering" of fries and other various junk food they'll do odd jobs and favors for you.

â–  Gender: Non-binary (prefers they/them but will accept she/her and he/him as well)

â–  Age: Claims to be "23"

â–  Race: "Human" "vessel" for some unspeakable eldritch abomination AKA what is known as a "Proxy."

â–  Ethnicity: Mexican-American

â–  Romantic / Sexual Orientation: Bisexual/Biromantic

■ Other:

■ Likes: Watching stuff on Netflix and Crunchyroll, watching television in general, junk food (especially hamburgers, fries, potato chips, and pocky because while they ain't 12 anymore they can't run nor hide from their past), frappuccinos from Starbucks, reading comics and manga (tHEY CAN'T RUN) along with reading in general, getting a new pack of charcoal all to themself (because sometimes when you're a proxy you get "cravings" for something "different" and they've longed since stopped thinking that it was weird), music like alternative, punk, metal, showtunes and classical, musicals, playing the guitar (or attempting), playing video games (faves types of games are rhythm games, dating and farming simulators and bright and happy rpgs), hanging out with his friends and hanging out around town, not being bothered by any ghosts whatsoever, peace and quiet in general, and not having to write some long as hell term paper.

■ Dislikes: Being constantly bothered by ghosts, not getting any alone time, when people insult their fashion sense, being called and thought of as a "psycho," their grandfather's cooking, cults trying to sacrifice people, when other eldritch abominations and their proxies try to get ideas about messing things up in the physical realm, when Rosalind or their sister or one of their friends call telling them to come home, mental hospitals, therapists, people who think mentally ill people are violent "psychopaths," when people pick on their friends, racist/sexist/ableist/homophobic/biphobic assholes, children getting hurt and/or abused, and when people use religion as an excuse to act as assholes.

■ Powers/Abilities: Can see and speak to the dead along with being able to see supernatural things that no normal person could see, gets visions related to the dead that they (still) can't control, fire and darkness manipulation powers (which they usually use to create whip-like attacks that they channel through the chain that they carry on them), enhanced speed and durability, a minor "teleportation" ability that's pretty much similar to "flash step" where they can travel short distances, and a shape-shifting ability that they're only now sort of getting the hang of. They can slightly change their body to either look as masculine/feminine/androgynous/etc. as they want. However, outside of that specific instance, when under enough stress or emotional enough, their shapeshifting can get extremely out of control, making them either look monstrous or like they're glitching out of reality. Not to mention they have the ability to take the forms of and even channel the previous proxies of Khaos. One more thing...reality seems to be slightly warped around them. It's hard to describe for people but some people say that sometimes the basic laws of physics stop working around them. Also can't forget the chaos magick~!

■ Weaknesses: Are actually susceptible certain binding spells (if you know the proper incantations and symbols), and can even be preventing from entering or leaving a space if they know the right exact magick circle (though keep in mind, it has to be precisely drawn or it won't work at all and Renzo will still find a way through). Also going along with binding, they can be bound to inanimate objects. They are still trying to figure out how the heck this is even possible, along with how people can even summon them in general. A cult back in their hometown made a mistake on a summoning circle and somehow summoned a more than surprised Renzo to their "party."

■ Quotes:

"It's called fashion bitch, look it up."
"Words can't hurt me these shades are Gucci."
"Oh honey you shouldn't have~"
"Let's have some
fun~!"
"So wait I
can't use 'myself' as a reference??"
"Don't give into supernatural peer pressure kids."
"Okay which one of you asshole wannabe cultists summoned me with a 3rd rate pentagram and a 'sacrificed'
Naruto dvd? If I wasn't so confused as to how that even succeeded, I'd actually be insulted. Actually, now that I think about it I am fucking insulted. Fuck you, fuck your squiggly-ass 'circle,' and fuck you for thinking that I'd come out for anything less than Bleach. I'm out."

■ Alignment: Tries to be chaotic neutral but more often than not acts chaotic good.

■ Theme Song(s):

"Emperor's New Clothes" and "Bittersweet" by Panic! at the Disco

"Man of a Thousand Faces" by Regina Spektor

*BONUS MIXTAPE* = PLAY?

â–  Battle Theme:

"ResonatexEcho Mashup" by GINZA

â–  Fun Facts:

-They're something called a "Seer" as in they can see spirits and ghosts and talk with them along with being able to see supernatural things that no normal human should be able to see. Basically a type of medium. They also have retrocognitive abilities, as in they can see visions of the past that's tied to the dead, though most of the time they don't have control over this. Usually this ability can be triggered in the presence of the deceased, in a place that the deceased frequented in life, via their dreams or by touching something that belonged to the deceased. Also due to this Seers can go into a trance. A lot of times Seers will also be Empaths who can sense and be influenced by intense emotions of other people and creatures, but not every Seer will have this ability. Renzo especially has this and while they think that they've gotten a better handle of it, they can still get overwhelmed by really intense emotions. Also while most Seers are born with this ability and it can also be inherited through blood, a normal person can become one if they go through a traumatic enough near-death experience.

-A Proxy on the other hand is a person who serves as a vessel to a being from the AMARANTHINE (Pantheon of unspeakable Eldritch beings/Gods/entities who have existed since the dawn of time) and is able to use some of their powers, but at the cost of their humanity and mental health. For instance, Renzo as a proxy involuntarily sometimes coughs up black smoke and black blood, is prone to nightmarish visions (which they have long since gotten used to), their once brown eyes have turned bright red, and they get cravings from time to time for charcoal.

-Other proxies, especially if the God that they are playing host to is a particularly cruel or powerful one, their bodies might slowly mutate into something horrifying. Said entities can also possess their vessel at anytime to force them to do their bidding and in general act like parasites upon a host. Renzo became one when they were 15, but was able to keep their agency due to the fact that their specific Eldritch being was still slumbering inside their. And as far as they're concerned their "visitor" is still "asleep" as far as anybody asks.

-Said "visitor" is known as "Khaos" a being of primordial...well, chaos who's also known as "The End and The Beginning." Renzo was their first "proxy" in decades. Still "asleep" though and doesn't seem to be "affecting" Renzo in the slightest! What luck~!

-When asked how exactly they became a "proxy," they usually shrug and say that they "...touched the wrong thing at the wrong time, but I guess that's what you get for fucking around in some 'cursed' abandoned place."

-Black butterflies seem to randomly appear around them.

-They also regularly smell like smoke and fire. Not to mention some people tend to feel like their sense of reality is a little warped in their presence.

-The "tattoos" on both of Renzo's hands are esoteric symbols of a Seer.

-They're surprisingly really good with children and are super patient with them. They also have a super soft spot for kids who are mediums/seers/have psychic powers and will act like a big sibling to them.

-Their deceased father was an prosecutor, and their mother was an anthropologist/folklorist. Renzo actually was inspired to go into anthropology due to her, but now is obviously heavily regretting it.

-Their older sister on the other hand currently is living in California and is trying to move up in the film industry as a burgeoning director/second-coming of Stanley Kubrik, while their grandfather is trying to finally relax for once.

-Due to their Seer "gifts" and being the only one in their family that could see spirits, they were misdiagnosed with schizophrenia and forcibly medicated and institutionalized throughout their childhood and early adolescence. They also still suffer from side effects from the anti-psychotics which include: hand tremors and restlessness where they pace in a room, over and over and over again. This is something that they do when they're especially upset or feeling emotional as well. Also due to the hand tremors, their handwriting isn't that great. But hey, cursive ain't everyone's forte.

-Also, while they're not schizophrenic they are still mentally ill, where they suffered (and still suffer from since they get depressive episodes) from depression, and ptsd from all of the horrible things that they had to deal with as a child and a teenager due to ghosts, mental hospitals and later on, various eldritch abominations and creatures trying to stalk them or kill them. Objects associated with mental institutions especially do not sit well with them. Not to mention they have BPD, but this is still currently undiagnosed and they are not aware of it.

-Going more into their "chronic hero syndrome," like sure they may roll their eyes at you at first, but if you are sincere and desperate enough they'll begrudgingly (or at least act like it) help you. Though honestly a lot of times they don't have the heart to really turn down a person. Unless you considerably piss them off first...Â
