A peculiar young man rescued from Dragonspine by the Knights of  Favonius. The origins of him and his vision are unknown even to  himself.

Personality

Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC.

The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance.

The standard chunk of Lorem Ipsum used since the 1500s is reproduced below for those interested. Sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 from "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" by Cicero are also reproduced in their exact original form, accompanied by English versions from the 1914 translation by H. Rackham.

Appearance

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

	Frigid Breath	Normal Attack
Normal Attack Perform up to 4 blizzard attacks that deal Cryo DMG. Charged Attack Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to deal AoE Cryo DMG after a short casting time. Plunging Attack Gathering the might of Cryo, Iosis plunges toward the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents in his path. Deals AoE Cryo DMG upon impact with the ground.
	Lingering Soul	Elemental Skill
Calling upon the draconic energy within him, Iosis summons a small Soul Fragment. Press The Soul Fragment orbits your active character, periodically healing a small amount of HP that scales with Iosis’s DEF. Hold The Soul Fragment appears for only a brief moment, healing Iosis for a large amount of HP that scales with his DEF. Upon activation, enemies within a small AoE are repelled a short distance away. It is a wisp of a memory, a word on the tip of the tongue. By the time he thinks to reach for it, it has already disappeared.
	Living Ice	Elemental Burst
The corruption buried within Iosis comes to the surface, turning his skin to a layer of black ice that gives him a more draconic form. This form has the following properties: - Converts attack DMG into Physical DMG, which cannot be overridden by any elemental infusion. - Greatly increases Iosis’s ATK and Physical RES based on his DEF at the time of entering this state. - Increases his CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG. In this form, Iosis will continuously lose HP. The amount of HP lost per second doubles for every X.Xs Iosis remains on the field. Lingering Soul cannot be activated for the duration of this ability. The effects of this skill end when Iosis leaves the field. The longer Iosis stays in this form, the longer the longer the CD. Searing anger. Burning cold. Darkness.
	Vengeful Spirit	1st Ascension Passive
While Lingering Soul is active, the ATK SPD of your own active character is increased.
	Elemental Armor	4th Ascension Passive
While under the effects of Living Ice, Iosis’s Elemental RES increases by the same amount as his Physical RES.
	Draconic Resistance	Utility Passive
Reduces the rate of Sheer Cold accumulation for your own party members by XX%.

Character Stories

Character Details

Though few have ever actually spoken to him, many people in Mondstadt remember Iosis’s sudden appearance in the city. 

His distinctive features alone made him memorable, as did the fact that he was flanked and led in by three Knights of Favonius, two of which were the Cavalry Captain and Chief Alchemist.

His mysterious arrival immediately drew speculation and suspicion from citizens. Most assumed the entourage of knights implied wrongdoing of some kind, and some assumed that he was brought to the city for questioning.

The latter assumption is correct. Upon arriving, he was immediately directed to the Acting Grandmaster, who had more than a few questions for the newcomer. 

Unfortunately, the interview did not go anywhere. Most of the answers sought were unknown even to Iosis. 

Albeit with initial surveillance from the Knights of Favonius, Iosis settled in Mondstadt with surprising ease. He can most commonly be found in the Knights of Favonius library, diligently studying languages or researching any number of things that interest him. 

Those who now know him describe him as polite and agreeable—often too much so, as his unwavering support tends to land him in the midst of many an antic or scheme. 

Story 1

Iosis’s first clear memory is awakening in a warm, scarlet-tinted cave.

He remembers the col weight of a vision on his chest. The top-heaviness of his horns as he sat up. The itch of scales on his neck and body.

Everything before that moment is blurred and indecipherable, and even the blurry, dreamlike memories are few and far between. His name comes from one such memory, an unidentifiable whisper of awe:

“This is it. This is…Iosis.”

"If I left somewhere behind, is it really worth remembering?"

This is what Iosis said one night at Starsnatch cliff. His legs dangled off the ledge of grass-capped stone, and his fingers clutched at the soil beneath him, and his eyes wandered across the stars that give that place its name.

He was responding to a common query: "Do you wonder where you came from?" On this night, it came from the lips of Head Alchemist Albedo, who stood beside him with a tilted glance and loosely crossed arms.

Normally, when he is asked this question, Iosis does not respond so truthfully. people expect him to say, "I want to remember; I want to know who I was." So, usually, he does. 

Albedo had asked this before, but back then, it was out of pure curiosity.

This time, Iosis could hear the accusation in his voice.

"I always wondered," the alchemist replied, "what your true thoughts on it were. After all, it never seemed to be a priority, despite the possibility that there could be an entire life waiting for you."

Iosis swallowed.

"I think that's what scares me the most, actually. I'm curious, of course, but I think I’m happy here. What if I remember, and I feel the obligation to go back and abandon this life--all of the people and places that make Mondstadt feel like home?"

There was no response. The moon hung, silent, in the sky, and Iosis sighed.

Vision

Visions represent ambition. And when Iosis sits, staring at the small object for longer than he should, he wonders what his ambition could have been. 

Whatever earned him his vision, it is just as mysterious to him as it is to everyone else. So, he spends his time studying the vision wielders around him. Albedo's ambition is to find the truth of the world; Amber's is to excel as an outrider. 

He has not yet met a Cryo user willing to share their ambition. 

“Perhaps the pattern in Cryo ambitions is their illusiveness,” he muses in his journal. “Perhaps it's distance from others. Either is relevant to myself--no one knows what I could have strove for, and it's no secret that I feel like an outcast.

“Perhaps, though, it is the way we linger between two states of being: Kaeya's belovedness by others and yet distinct separation from them; Eula's aristocratic upbringing and current occupation; Rosaria's piety and blasphemy. 

“I am both human and not. Do I want to be either?”

Sometimes, he wonders if he’s overthinking.

Trivia

• It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets  containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop  publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem  Ipsum.
