Occupation: Avid Collector/Aristocrat

A human who seems to have a large collection of items. 

His most prized possession besides his mermaid pets is a gold statue of a lady carrying a blue gem, Blue Wonder [1].

Blue Wonder was once part of a mast of a great ship that successfully made it through the ocean intact and unharmed by the mers due to the magical gem that protect the sailors from the siren’s songs.  Sadly the ship ran into a rock on their next voyage out to sea, and the only thing able to retrieve from the wreckage was this jewel and part of the statue. 

History:

He married a beautiful lady who came from a poor family buying her out of poverty, and treated her like a trophy wife, showering her in all of the luxurious jewelry he owned and bought. However his wife did not love him or his jewels, and ran off with her lover, committing lovers suicide in the river late one moonlight.

He was distraught as he loved her, even if it was rather one sided and soon enough he grew rather obsessive with items, wanting to fill the loneliness he had but items didn’t help - nothing could replace her, or so he thought. It wasn’t until he began searching for a companion, and the underground market of mermaids caught his eye.. He was enchanted by one at first sight, as the mer’s face reminded him of his deceased wife and he bought the fish at highest bidder.  And from that point on, he became a mermaid collector.

 He currently works along a scientist funding the scientist in hopes of recreating his wife.
