he gets bullied. 

His mom is like that sweet chubby woman that bakes everyone cookies and baby's her son 24/7. His dad left when he was a baby so it's just him and his mom who, is a stay-at-home mom because her father, his grandfather supports them. I'm debating on if his grandma is alive, but I imagine his grandpa is this old businessman that used to kinda be some crime boss, but went straight when his little girl was born

Other than being bullied, he's a bit accident prone. But he's as cute as a button and as sweet as a kitten, he's very compassionate and will help anyone who needs it, even if it backfires on him later.
His mother and him live in a tiny cottage in a wooded area, He has to walk through it to get to school, so he grew up pretty fond of forest life

tends to feed the animals in winter when food is scarce because he feels bad that they're hungry.
