Hikaru

Abilities
Hikaru thinks her only ability is her healing power, not really a strong one, but good enough to speed up the healing process a little. When she uses it, a warm orange/yellow light comes from her paws and the injury heals slowly.
But she also has offensive abilities. She doesn't know about them, since she cannot use them consciously. But when she becomes really nervous or irritated by others, she looses control. She would get enourmous physical strength that's nearly as good as an Elf's strength. (Elves have best physical strength in this whole universe) Additionally, her speed increases a lot. And as if that is not strong enough, she builts up some kind of pressure around her, that lets every weak person, that gets too close to her faint instantly.
There are only two ways for her to get out of this "mode". Either she kills everyone around her or someone manages to calm her down somehow, by talking to her for example. But that second way is not easy at all. In both cases she would faint and don't remember anything afterwards.



Story
When Hikaru was a little child she was abandoned by her parants. Both of her parents are normal Tsunoka - a common species populating the world Ilirea. They usully have1 - 3 horns on their heads and some magical abilities that are stronger, the more horns they have. But they sure aren't furries. So when Hikaru was born, they were really surprised and also afraid of the child, which made them abandone her.
The reason for her unusuallook is poison. A few weeks priorto her birth, an accident occured inthe region,her family used to live in. The scientist Shuichi who has his lab in this region made a crutial mistake and a poisonus gas spread in the whole area. It became completely contamined.He never imagined for this experiment to escalate that much.He did his best to evacuate the people who lived there in time. A lot of them couldn't flee in time and died there, some inhaled a bit of the poison, which didn't kill them luckily, just a few could escape completely unaffected.And Hikaru's mother was one of the people who inhaled a bit of the poison.She was pragnant at this time and while her body seemed fine,the posion didaffect the child. Because Hikaruwas unborn at the time, the effect was completely different to the one it would haveon living people and instead of killing her it changed her genetic strucutre – That's how she became the creature she now is. The interesting part about this is, that her body shows similarities with a new species of animals that developed in the contamined region.
Her parents who didn't know what was wrong with this child, threw her into a river, abandoning her. Her older brother saw how she was thrown away,but he just looked away and did nothing. He didn't really like what he saw, after all, this creature was hissister. But he decided not to risk arguing with them, he knew his parents wouldn't want anyone to know about this child. They were the only ones who saw her. They would tell everyonethat the child was stillborn to make sure that nobody would know what kind of monster they gave birth to. After all, it could ruin their Names. Hikarus brotherfelt super bad watching this but he didn't know what to do, so he did nothing. He was convinced, the unnamed child would die soon and wouldn't have to live a life of suffering.

But Hikaru didn't die. Amysterious guy found her and raised her like a father. That guy always wore a mask to cover his eyes. Also, nobody really knew his species. His look didn't really fit with any of the species on Ilirea. The two of themwere a strange duo, traveling around in Ilirea and Hikaru was really happy about this. She really enjoyed traveling.Sure, people looked at her as if she was some kind ofmonster but she didn't really mind them, because there was her father who always looked at her as a living beeing and not as a monster. He was also the one who gave her her name.
Sometimes they would sleep outside, sometimes they'd find Shelter at people's houses. While Hikaru would be really shy around them and not as lively and happy as she is when she's alone with her father, she still had no problem with it, as long as her father was with her. People were afraid of them but a lot of them lost their fear after they got to know them. Hikaru would often help people heal their injuries while the father would help them otherwise. They didn't really stay long enough for her to make friends though.
Also, both of them never really had enough money, the only way to earn some was for Hikarus father to playKoto. His music was really beautiful. Hikaru really loves listening to him and even learned to play a little herself. But her skill isn't nearly close to his.
Sometimes a weird Owl girl would drop by, her name was Tsukuyomi. She bacame friends with Hikaru really fast. But she never really stayed long. It seems she was traveling on her own. And that's not the only weird aquaintance of her father. Sometimes they would visit an seemingly older guy who was writing books. Also… Not one of the common species in Ilirea. And her father would look up to that old guy for some reason, he never told her. Hikaru is afraid of him though. He somehow has an Aura that she doesn't like.

And wherever they went,they always avoided fighting. Hikaru is convinced, thather father can't fight. Because he has never doneit. (Actually he's probably way stronger than her at at full strenght… And that is the strength she has when she looses her mind. But that's a story for another time)

After some years of travelingthey stopped by at the villige her parents live in. Her father had some buisiness he had to take care of himself at this place, so he asked her the first time if she would like to buy something by her own. She was really nervous because of all the views from people around and the fact that they were afraid of her. She didn't know, she was born here, her father didn't know either, if he was aware of that, he probably would've stayed on her side.
And it came how it had to come, the worst case szenario happened.She met her real parents. And they recognized her. There can't be two creaturesof this strange species. At first they decided to just ignore her. But itwasn't thateasy sinceHikaru, who was super nervous needed to ask for the way to the next shop to buy some food. And she askedthe first people she couldsee. Her parents. She didn't know who they were of course. And her mother who was just afraid and lost herabilityto think clearly for amoment, shouted at her: "You monster, go away, never cometo this village again!" and - Hikarulost control. She killed her parents who are 2-horned Tsunoka, which isn't weak at all and also some other villagers. Her brother was watching frombehind a corner and sawher killing everyone.He toorecognized her and he couldn't believe, what he was seeing.Is she really just an evil beeing like hisparents believed?
He was unsure what to do. He wanted to talk to her, find out himself but he was afraid. She would just kill him too. But somehow he pushed the fear away anddecided to come out and talk to her. He became badly injured but in the end he managed to calm her down. Who know why he was successfull. Maybe it was because he believed she'd be a nice little sister if she wouldn't have been abondoned. Because he didn't think of her as a monster all this time. The most important part is: He did it.She fall asleep and he fainted because he lost too much blood. The man who raised Hikaru found them and took care of both of them. He had an idea of what happened and he regretted leaving her alone. The brother, whowas the first one to wakeup, talked to him about Hikaru. How she was abandoned, how he believed in her and how she shattered his believes.But the father convinced him, that she is a normal child, that is just a little too powerful. The brother was unsure whether it was a good idea to believe that stranger, but he decided to try. He has just lost his parents, his home, everyghing, so he needed to start over anyways. Hedecided to join the two of them and travel with them. That way, he'd get to know his sister better, to decide himself if she is a normal child or not. That's how he became part of this little group of travelers. The three of them don't have a guild where they belong to, they are independent travelers who discover the world and help people here and there.
Hikarus brother really got attached to his sister, who was the last remaining part of his family. The two of them got along well. They talked to each other just as usual siblings would. A little teasing here and there but a friendly, warm relationship nevertheless.
