Just let her go and you can do whatever experiment you wish to me.” Di, also called the Jack of Diamonds, is highly respected among the card holders despite losing his original card ability to create illusions. When Caitlyn, the Queen of Clubs, was captured by the joker card Klark for certain experimentation, Di found them and offered himself to take her place. Being a jack card against a joker card (whose abilities easily cancel out lower cards such as jacks), he knew it was the most he could do to get Klark to release Caitlyn. The trade work, but with a price. Klark's experiments was to see exactly what gave card holders their abilities. Since the things card holders all have in common is their red eyes and their card sign somewhere on their bodies, Klark removed those things from Di, who ended up losing his left eye and, since his Jack of Diamonds sign was on his left arm, his left arm, as well. The loss of his card sign left hi without any card abilities, as well, and thus he lost his abilities as an illusionist. Not long after this event Di took an interest in inventing technology and he began building various machines, one of which being his left arm. Along with this, Di and Caitlyn have developed a strong, sibling-like bond and are often times seen hanging out with each other.
