Meirin
About
An animal biologist who originally studied in Liyue but moved to Mondstat after having an epiphany on personal freedom. Now living free from contractual obligations, they dress similarly to the nuns of the Favonius Cathedral to thank Barbatos for their vision.
Design
Notes
- Three beauty marks: Left forehead, right cheek, right bottom lip (their perspective)
- Earrings: two hoops left, one hoop and two chained studs right NOTE: earrings are on the right side of each ear (their perspective)
- Thighs.
- If the pose calls for it, she does have a bunny tail.
- Vision is Liyuen in style, so will have a flatter shape. See this reference for details.

Inazuman Light Novels
Fantasy settings and tropes are so interesting to Meirin. They love the escapism of it all.
Apples
Fruits in general are a wonderful treat, but the texture of apples specifically is something Meirin loves.
Ponytails
They have a lot of hair, but only know how to style it into ponytails.

Especially when under tree shade on a warm day.
Dislikes
Cold Weather
Meirin gets cold easily and sleeps with layers of blankets of varying weight and warmth for the perfect bed rest.
Noise Pollution
Low, constant sound easily overwhelm Meirin's sensitive ears. They need something grounding to listen to when relaxing.

- Viper's Venom: When Snake Strike deals Anemo DMG to an enemy, it will apply Corrosion to the target. Corrosion rate is based on Meirin's Energy Recharge. Each 1% ER = .00001% HP corrosion, max. .015% HP/sec. A max of 5 stacks of Corrosion can be applied to an enemy at a time and each stack has a duration of 10s. When an enemy's HP is less than 15%, they will no longer lose HP due to Corrosion.

Talents
Harried Strikes
Normal Attack: Performs up to five consecutive spear strikes.
Charged Attack: Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to lunge forward, dealing damage to opponents along the way.
Plunging Attack: Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Memoir Zephyr
Meirin recalls an animal they once met, summoning a Facsimile Ally out of Anemo. The Facsimile Ally summoned is based on Meirin's current HP. (Cooldown 20s, Duration 12s)
Ally DefenderIf Memoir Zephyr is activated when Meirin has above 50% HP, the Facsimile Ally takes the form of a pillbug. While Ally Defender is present, the active character taking DMG will trigger Pillbug's Protection. Can trigger once every 5s.
Pillbug's ProtectionIf the active character takes Elemental DMG, the Pillbug's Protection forms a Shell Shield infused with that element. DMG Absorption of a Shell Shield formed by Pillbug's Protection scales off Meirin's Energy Recharge. When a new Shell Shield of the same element is obtained, the remaining DMG Absorption of an existing Shell Shield will stack and the duration will be refreshed.
If the active character takes Physical DMG, the Pillbug's Protection causes a Guardian Gale launching opponents and dealing AoE Anemo DMG. Elemental Absorption: If the active character has a Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro applied when Guardian Gale triggers, it will deal additional Elemental DMG of that type. Elemental Absorption may only occur once per use.
Ally StrikerIf Memoir Zephyr is activated when Meirin has 50% or below HP, the Facsimile Ally takes the form of a snake. While Ally Striker is present, the active character's Normal Attacks will trigger a Snake Strike, dealing light Anemo DMG to a single enemy. Can occur once every 1s.
When threatened, animals can respond in a variety of ways. Humans are the same, you know?
Flora and Fauna
Faith Flowers made out of Anemo burst from the ground around the user and boom, creating a floral field and dealing Anemo DMG to nearby foes before dissolving. While the flower field persists, flowers will continuously bloom within its AoE. (Cost 60 energy, Duration 12s, Cooldown 15s)
Elemental Absorption: If a Faith Flower comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro, it will deal additional Elemental DMG of that type. Elemental Absorption may only occur once per Faith Flower.
Mondstat is full of open plains and flower fields. It's perfect for picnics or having a mid-day nap.
Conservator's Slumber
If Meirin is not on the field and their Energy is less than 30, she will regenerate 2 Energy for herself every second.
