Species
(Almost same explanation as Aeolons)
Wers are always born withtwo forms. A human like form and an animal form. They are able to shapeshift between the two. Also, they are able to gain access to more forms by consuming other living beings. To do so, a Wer transforms into a third form, that is basically just a shadow, that covers the whole body of the creature they want to consume. After that process the wer'd get the ability to transform into that creatures body while still having his own mind. (Some really gruesome creatures don't transform into the shadow form, instead they eat their victims alive… But Aralynn is none of that kind. He probably would be if his animal form was a bit bigger though)

The process of shadow consumption only works on weak creatures, that are still alive. Stronger creatures would simply reject the consumption. Though if they get beaten up before, they are usually weak enough. If they still reject it, the Wer has to look for another weak creature or else he can't transform back, which is one reason why many try to eat their victims in their animal form. Then again, from a realistic point of view, in a case like this it's always easy to find some kind of weak insect for example.

Wers also have pretty good physical abilities. They are strong and fast. Usually even better in their animal form. (Though Aralynn is really weak in that Cat form) They can't reach the Elves, but they are able to fight. Because, that is what they were created for: Fighting, getting stronger by getting more and more forms and to serve the Elves. They are supposed to fight against other gods along with the Elves giving them orders.
Elves have an ability called Authority, that allowes them to give orders to every creature weaker then them. The only exception are fellow Elves and Wers. While they are unable to control members of their own species, a Wer is unable to reject the orders of an Elf. The only exception comes in when two orders are contradicting each other. For example if an Elf orders the wer only to follow their orders and another one gives them an order, the Wer has the freedom to decide which order to follow. That's how a Wer who formed a bound with an Elf becomes free – more or less.



Story
Aralynn was created on Kuraya as a Wer. He was always in a good mood and saw most things rather as a game than something serious, that could hurt others. He did what he had to do as a Wer. He fought, consumed animals, became strongers, followed the Elves orders and he killed the ones weaker than him, the ones to weak to gain something from consuming them. He didn't realize how that might affect others until one day he met the Elf Zen.
Aralynn followed him because it seemed interesting, that an Elf has other stuff on his mind than killing and following orders. So when he asked Zen if he could help him, Zen ignored him. And when he asked again, Zen told him that he doesn't need help. That he is currently thinking about something. Aralynn was curious and asked more and more until Zen finally told him his story. A story full of Emotions, that Aralynn couldn't understand.
Zen just lost his boyfriend Nova because he got tricked into poisoning him by Sombra. Sombra who was jealous, because he wanted Zen for himself. Zen didn't know what to do. He knew he couldn't get Nova back. He didn't know how to process his death. But one thing was for sure, Sombra wouldn't give up on Zen. So at this point Zen was thinking about getting into a relationship with Sombra. He was convinced, he wouldn't be able to enjoy it at all, after all Sombra killed his former boyfriend. But he also didn't know what else Sombra would do to get him into a relationship. And he didn't want to risk his friends dying.
Aralynn was just confused after hearing all that from him. He couldn't understand, why someone would be sad if someone else would die. Because he never really had a connection. But Zen explained to him, That if Aralynn were to kill him right now, he would never be able to talk to him again, he would never be able to annoy him, Zen would just disappear. And Aralynn had to admit that this would be an unfortunate scenario, since he found it really interesting to talk to Zen. He still couldn't understand the emotional impact of someone dying but after that conversation they teamed up, with the goal that Aralynn would one day understand how other people's emotions work. And Aralynn convinced Zen, to just start that relationship with Sombra, because he thought it was an amazing opportunity to be close to the god. He really didn't understand anything Zen said. But Zen was a bit happier after talking to Aralynn and he decided that it would be indeed the best thing to do, to go into a relationship with Sombra.
Even though he thought he would hate this at first, somehow he really really liked the time with Sombra. He felt bad for feeling like this but Sombra was really an amazing boyfriend to him. His friendship with Aralynn was no problem for Sombra either since it was only a friendship.

That went well for a couple of years, but one day an incident occured. The gods Loki and Llyr attacked Kuraya. Zen, Aralynn, Chou and Sana (two other Elves), were watching how Sombra fought the two gods. While Llyr was preparing an attack, Sombra hold back Loki. Both of them received quite a few wounds in this battle. Aralynn, Zen and the two other Elves were totally overwhelmed by the situation, that fight was on another level. They couldn't even process what was happening, it was so fast and the attacks were so strong, it was incredible. When Sombra as well as Loki became weaker, Zen noticed a change in Sombras expression. Then he said to them: „Try to go with Loki, this dimension won't exist anymore soon!“ Then Llyr was ready with his attack, he disappeared along with Sombra. Aralynn and the Elves were left with this order. And neither of them couldn't imagine how they were supposed to go with an enemy like Loki. Until Chou had the idea to use Authority on him, to control him. That worked, because he was weak and because there wasn't just one, there were three elves to give him orders. That way they managed to gain control over Loki. And then they left the Dimension with him, before it got destroyed by Universe.
They got information from Loki, that it wasn't nessessary for the two gods to go there, but they somehow had to rescue Sombra, since it was unclear what would happen if a god would die. Still, the dimension had to be destroyed since it would've been way too dangerous to keep it. But now that he was controlled by the Elves Loki started doing exactly the same thing as Sombra did. They went to his world, Aldonah, where he started building an army to fight other gods. All, because of the Elves Authority, controlling Loki. They wanted to continue Sombras will, they thought, it was important. Since he was the god who created them. Nobody knew that it was actually Leara. Nobody knew that Sombra was controlled by a Parasite all along, Nobody knew, that this last order wasn't to control Loki, but for them to rescue themselves and finally live a good life.
For Zen it was a really hard time again. After all he just got closer to Sombra again and he learned loving him and right after that he lost him. And that change in expression left him thinking too. But he decided to follow the other Elve's Ideas to control Loki and attack Llyr with his help. That was Sombras will after all. Or wasn't it?
At this time Aralynn helped Zen cheer up a little and he could understand a little better how it would be to loose someone. First Nova, now Sombra. He continued supporting Zen and started to think about if it is really nessessary to kill certain people.
