Michael is the result of a one night stand, a depressed Vinnie gets crazy drunk from "drinking the pain away" so he ends up having a one night stand with a groupie unknown to him the groupie got pregnant afterwards she had no desire to keep the baby going as far to call him an accident so she sends him infront of Vinnie's doorstep with a note telling him the baby is his, Vinnie is mortified because a baby was entirely unexpected and he had no experience with kids but he does decide to keep and raise Michael the two end up having a very close father son relationship.

Vinnie is the father of Michael despite being an unplanned baby from a one night stand Vinnie comes to love Michael very quickly all he wants to do is make him feel happy and loved, and likewise Michael absolutely loves his father to the point that he can be very clingy and needy often wanting his attention and to be held by him Michael looks up to his father and admires his beauty.

Lizzie is Vinnie's close friend, Lizzie often helps Vinnie out with taking care of Michael since he knows its very hard for his best friend at first, since Lizzie is around pretty often he becomes the second closest person to Michael being the only other  person Michael trusts  other than Vinnie, in a way Lizzie becomes like a second father for him.

Michael is sweet natured but very shy as a baby and toddler he clings onto his father and will hide his face in him if he's feeling extra shy, he takes time to feel comfortable around new people the only person he's comfortable with aside from Vinnie is Lizzie, he has separation anxiety and will cry and have a panic attack if Vinnie is not with him he gets absolutely terrified if Vinnie has to go somewhere and leave Michael in the care of someone else this is possibly because he has a sharp memory and remembers his mother did not want him so he may fear that his father will leave him someday to.
