Runningroar is a cunning dart of a she-cat. Fast, self-serving, and prideful. She's confident in herself, what she does- and she has a snappy attitude towards others (Especially if they're giving her or her clanmates a hard time). She's bristly and coated with emotional thorns, but secretly yearns to feel safe and wanted, something she never had growing up. Despite putting off a cold demeanor and generally brushing off interactions, she's fiercely loyal to the clan that she felt gave her a sense of purpose when she lacked one and she'd defend it and her clanmates with her life.
She doesn't take insults to herself or her clanmates lightly, and can be very temperamental and even vengeful towards those who she feels has wronged them or herself. She doesn't forget a cat and won't let anyone get away with a slight. She often has to be reeled in by her clan's leader or her clanmates. Which...can be difficult when she gets riled up.
While she is very smart and can get herself out of things, she can also be impulsive when agitated and do things she'll regret later. She probably won't apologize...but she'll sulk until the other cat forgives her.
Despite her outer shell- she has a great sense of humor and a good way to cheer her up is a prank or a bit of mischief at someone elses expense. She loves games of startling or sneaking up on her clanmates for fun. She has the tendency to show up seemingly at random.
She's very energetic and seems to always have more energy to spare than most- especially older cats. She likes to stay busy and can always be found doing something to help the clan.
- Being a small cat, she got by in her early years by being a thief and scavenger. As such- she developed a great affinity for stealth and sneaking. She's also partial to disguising her scent with seaweed or ocean baths- making her difficult to discern by other cats. This makes her a great scout- or hunter as needed once she's taught to hunt.
- With her ability to sneak around- it's not uncommon for her to be nosy and eavesdrop on anyone she feels like following around. She tries not to because its 'rude' but sometimes her nosiness gets the better of her...
- Pitchstar is one of the few cats who can always seem to find her when she's trying to sneak around. It drives her insane.
Runner doesn't really remember her mother. Only that she had two siblings, and that they were quickly abandoned when her mother was taken by Two-legs and never seen again. Being small, and inexperienced- Runner had to quickly learn to survive on harsh streets that didn't want her. Her siblings were as weak as she was- and the three banded together to try to survive. She never received a name from her mother, only earning 'Runner" as a name because its what all of the other alley cats would call her due to the fact she was always running off with their food -and her size and speed made her incredibly difficult to catch. She would steal from strays, but eventually realized that it was easier to steal from dumb kittypets. So as she traveled she eventually ended up near the beach and a set of two leg vacation homes that had plenty of in and out kittypets...and trash left behind for her to rifle through without many strays (Thanks to the proximity to nearby clans.) With her stealth- Runner was able to avoid the wildcats...until running into Pitchstar.
Well, Stealing from Pitchstar. He'd hunted a bird that Runner quickly made off with- thinking he was another stray until he tracked her down and contronted her. At first- annoyed with her, before just giving her the bird since she clearly needed it more. Runner was...confused. By him-and the kittypet with him, and even moreso when they said they were forming a new clan here. And further still-when they offered to teach her to hunt for herself. At the time, Runner was offended by the implication, and fled the two with her stolen bird. But something about them stuck out to her...
...Which is of course why she followed them back to their camp-where she was confronted by Pitchstar (again, still annoyed). She declared she just wanted to see the clan, but was definitely cospicuously trying to take the chance to weasel into a group of cats for some proper safety...perhaps initially not really realizing what she was getting into. Swanwhisker was more than thrilled to take the younger she-cat under her wing and start teaching her everything she ever wanted to know about being a warrior..whether she liked it or not.
Pitchstar soon gave her her warrior name of Runningroar, and she was Reefclan's first warrior named by their leader. She wears this with pride.

"That troublemaker? He's my friend. I guess. He taught me to hunt or whatever. And he let me in the clan so that's cool. He does a good job, maybe. but I don't like him" (unconvincingly.)
Pitchstar and Runningroar have a bit of a friendly rivalry, where she picks on him and he bites right back. She likes bothering him because she thinks it's funny but ultimately she greatly respects him as a leader and all that he's offered and taught her since she joined the clan- and in letting her join at all. Ultimately, she's glad he's the leader and she's got his back if it really comes down to it. They share a common goal of protecting the clan at all costs, she just likes to have fun with him while doing it.
"Oh she's the best! She taught me everything I know about being a warrior. She talks a lot, I don't mind. Reminds me of my mum."
Swanwhisker and Runningroar get along great. Swanwhisker loves talking and telling stories- which is perfect, since Runningroar loves listening. She's constantly learning from the older she-cat and returns the favor by spending time with her and validating her efforts to teach others. She's an early favorite of Runningroar- who really just wanted someone to care enough to teach her something all along.
She makes the effort to always bring food for her first.
"The kittypet that's Pitchstar's favorite! Of course!"
She might be a little jealous of the attention Pitchstar gives Aquagold and sometimes try to butt her out of the way- but at the end of the day does see Aquagold as a friend. She's a little too guillible to be fun to trick like Pitchstar is but Runningroar can't ever really hold any kind of grudge against her since she's just so kind it rolls right off. Which is rare. Since Runningroar is really good at holding grudges. Anyways, Runningroar thinks she could do with some smartening up to the ways of the world but otherwise has no problems with her.
"The kit? I don't know. He's too small to be fun to mess with..."
