A resolute skeptic and film school dropout who spends their free time debunking cryptid sightings, Lyle is about as unwilling to believe in the supernatural as you can get. Never seen without an old film camera and a rational explanation in hand. With an affinity for stumbling across paranormal situations and a complete lack of good judgment, Lyle tends to make decisions they’ll later regret.
Lyle seems to think they've seen everything. They act as though they have no fears, though that's just because they don't want to believe in anything worth being afraid of. They're sarcastic, somewhat bitter, and quick to brush people off, but don't take that to mean they like being lonely.
After a friend asked them to help out with the school's outdated broadcasting equipment, Lyle ended up being offered a late-night slot on the radio program. after a few nights of talking to themself about the flaws of various polaroid models, they settled on taking calls of ghost sightings and firmly disagreeing with the callers. sometimes they'd go out to investigate, always alone. They got a call from the number of their old station two months after they dropped out of film school. the crackling voice on the phone didn't give a name, but it gave them a story of an monster beyond description and an unfamiliar address to drive to, and that was enough for Lyle.
