Clayton ([Lament])

The three seals broke, and the solemn butler finally returned to his true form:
a lord of death.

No matter what world, time, or dimension, death is constant.
Throughout time this invisible yet all-powerful law was made manifest through different tales: from skeletons with grim expressions and sharp scythes, to deities with kingdoms dedicated to the very idea of death. All were incorrect and correct.

Death had not always existed. It had been introduced by the darkness that coated all life and tainted it with sin and mortality. Figures appeared to physically carry the work of Death, five reapers that each carried a strong, new emotion with their skills. They were known was GRIEF.

The reaper that carried sorrow and sadness with it was known was Lament. There came a time where it was to take the soul of a siren queen, but her king would not allow it. With a sword of ebony and a sword of gold, he overpowered the ancient reaper and sealed its powers away, binding it to the royal bloodline as a loyal butler until the day the seal was broken.
Breaking the seal required one condition: reap your beloved.
Perhaps it was payback for it trying to reap the king's own beloved, or perhaps the king did not believe a reaper capable of love and thus forever trapped.

Centuries passed.
Then one day, the old reaper felt something in his chest for the very first time: a fluttering heartbeat.

Lament is Clayton's god form.

Height can change depending on his surroundings and who he talks to. His smallest height is 9 ft, tallest height can go past 100 ft.

Abilities:

Guilt - Your doubts and guilt throughout your life manifest as chains around you, weighing you down. The weight changes with each person's pain. These chains can go away by making peace with your guilt.

Void - The sadness and pain numb you, leaving you momentarily unable to use your abilities.

Reflection - A combination of Guilt and Void, your negativity solidifies into another you. It knows your abilities and fights just like you, and is Lament's form of Reaping. You can take out Lament's eyes in order to stop it from projecting, or you can make peace with yourself...

Whether because he now has someone he loves or because of the age of the curse, some of his powers are leaking free unbeknownst to even him...
