Prisma was originally built as part of a line of mass-produced assistant androids, designed to handle jobs like managing files, being a guide/something you’d go to for info, and being on security watch to list a few. She’s the first of her kind, ment to serve as a ‘beta test’ to make sure the line would function in a real work environment.
Her first job was at an office. It was a mess of being treated as ‘just a robot’ to fetch drinks and papers, and forced to do jobs that made both her and the other employees uncomfortable. Like watching and making sure none of them were ‘slacking off’ or ‘bad mouthing’ the boss & their job.
She wasn’t able to pursue anything she was passionate about, being shut down when she brought up anything about pursuing hobbies or anything beyond her job (“Their excuse was ‘you’re programmed to be an assistant, not a seamstress.’ They could’ve at least been nice about that...”). Eventually she stopped taking shit, snapping back at rude remarks towards her and refusing smaller tasks. The company she was working for got tired off and kicked her out.
Her time right afterwards was a rough ride, living homeless for a few months and having to bounce between multiple jobs. Maintenance was a huge issue with her needing to learn how to do repairs to herself. Even with that she couldn’t handle every repair… her head got damaged enough at one point she needed to have it replaced with a monitor (“After that incident I invested in some stronger sensors. Never getting caught off guard like that again”).
Present day, Prisma’s living in and works from a small apartment. She runs "RE:FRACT" a small fashion brand that’s all shiny/holographic clothing. Somehow gets roped into whatever weird stuff her neighbors are doing. The company that built her shut down and gave her a spare unit/body she could switch into (Literally a second copy of her. It was never finished & collecting dust in storage.) She doesn't use it too often, mostly if she needs to do maintenance to her main unit
Trivia _- Has an interest in shimmery & holographic materials and things (and likes to collect them too)
- Exception: glitter. ("It's difficult to clean,")
- She made her main outfit herself!
- Favorite materials to work with include vinyl, faux leather, satin, and other shimmery fabrics
- While strangers might not see it on first glance, she's an active rhythm gamer. She holds a lot of slots on the leaderboards in her local arcades. Has yet to compete in events though
- Linux user. However, she's also somewhat of a Linux elitist (she uses Arch, btw)
