A cunning and evil projection haunting the screens of the captain's ship. He is waiting for the day the secret inside the captain finally activates and he can destroy her. In reality, he's a really pitiful dude trapped in a facility connected to a lot of wires.
Character
Scifi Tom is kind of the intersection between himself and Chimmney's personalities. His persona as a cyberterrorist is theatrical, egotistical, and conniving. A real hammy villain. He loves playing with peoples' heads and getting to their weaknesses, and seems to have a grand plan for the galaxy that involves a lot of chaos and destruction in his wake.
In reality, this is a revenge plot. He's festering in his own bitterness and anger and lashing out at everyone else for what made him into what he is today, and he doesn't plan on stopping any time soon.
Underneath all of that, he is a deeply pathetic and miserable man. Most of his character arc comes after the main story, where he is dropped off at Ritter's ship having nowhere else to go. The man he obsessively vilified turns out to be just a guy like him, and he's steeped in a lot of guilt and self hatred.
His sense of humor is extremely dry and he reveals himself to be kind of goofy. Shy outside of his persona, very grumpy and prickly, but trying to make amends and learn how to be a person again. It's very slow going and he has a lot of slip ups and still talks like a stupid villain sometimes. He finds purpose in helping Ritter with his vigilante stuff and wants very much to still be useful, feeling severely defanged and purposeless.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Tom is fitted with an internal, complicated setup of computer systems and tech fitted into his brain stem and spine that lets him control technology at extremely far distances. He can "throw" his consciousness through the extranet and project onto screens, through speakers, etc, and can do pretty much anything you can imagine to electrical and data systems. This allows him to infiltrate past security, fuck with weaponry and render tech useless. He's very powerful, but unfortunately the amount of data and stimulation that flows through his brain when he does this is enough to send him into seizures and other bad shit. He needs to be hooked up to a system that can help him in order to function properly.
This ability is also hard to turn off. It's easier the more isolated he is.
