courier 6. escaped from the legion- he was an up-and-coming assassin, raised under legion rule from a young age and recieving training to become a frumentarius, but the way he tells the story you'd think he was a recently captured slave that escaped by the skin of his teeth. though he defected, he doesn't much dislike the legion's ways- not in the beginning, at least. he left out of sheer self-interest, believing in his right to personal freedom but not extending that right to others.

//grievously injures vulpes inculta in nipton, and barely escapes with his life. vulpes dies of his wounds, which nero doesn't learn of until much later.
