Meet Prism, the god of dreams! Seems like a pretty important job for such a funky looking spirit, but Prism takes their job very seriously...for the most part. With a swish of their hand, they can send, manipulate, or even take away dreams from any--sleeping--mortals mind. Weather it be human or animal he rules over their unconscious thinking. However, their power doesn't stop there! Prism can project dreams onto it's 'screen', they knows almost everyone's {Both mortal and immortals} aspirations {dreams} and fears {nightmares}. They can even float above the ground!
Prism is a genderless being, and likes to be called they/them or it. Though the few mortals that know of them refer to them as a he, but they don't mind all that much. Being a goofball by nature, Prism is certainly the most laid back of the gods. They love to mess around, joking and pranking is a favorite pastime. They're a bit of a derp, and not the most articulated of creatures. Not graceful in the slightest, you're more likely to find them tripping over their own feet. Very animated--no pun intended--and contrary to popular belief, they can speak. Their voice is high and sweet, mortals say it reminds them of nostalgia and clouds. This voice comes out from the speakers at the side of Prism's head.
Prism is rather strange looking...but then again, most gods look a little off. They have a white tv for a head with two wires with greenish balls coming out the top. They have one light eye in the center of their screen--which is bright galaxy colored. They have light jade skin that's smooth to the touch. Prism is a fan of the finer things in life, such as comfy sweaters and nail polish. However, their signature outfit is a darker jade sweater that has a peace sign on it with the words 'Peace Out' underneath. Their legs are also galaxy colored and the god wears no shoes. They're rather positive and like to keep things on the lighter side, this doesn't mean Prism can't be serious. They're a very well rounded god--a good balance of playfulness with a pinch of unrelenting power and a dash of somber when needed. Prism is one who often procrastinates, they dislike making snap decisions. They are usually upbeat, active and pretty alert. However, when they do happen to fall asleep {It isn't often, only if extremely exhausted and or unconscious} they become Distort, the god of nightmares. The same goes for Distort, they must fall asleep before Prism may come back. Though, Prism has been know to force themselves awake if their counterpart is doing a little too much damage. Distort is almost entirely opposite of Prism--they even have a mouth!--, they're sarcastic, rude and generally terrible to be around. They have a snarky attitude and always have beef with someone or something. They can hold grudges for years and years and its near impossible for them to forgive you.
Distort is actually semi-serious. They are in someways more professional then Prism. They think about their decisions, they enjoy working--Distort is a little more cynical then Prism so they deal more with nightmares then dreams. Just like Prism, Distort loves sweaters and nail polish. Distort also occasionally wears eyeliner. Their signature outfit is the same sweater as Prism except in red, and instead of 'peace out' the words on their shirt say 'buzz off'. Both the dream and nightmare god are important, no matter how strange their job may be. Without them, the dream word would spin out of control sending people into insanity due to everlasting nightmares or crazy dreams. So yes, they are very important
