zodiak

zodiak was not dealt the best deck of cards family wise. she is the oldest of nine siblings, and having to constantly compete for attention was exhausting. aside from that, regardless of their bountiful number of children, her parents were far from friendly toward one another. in her youth, the dame would have to shield their siblings from verbal and physical fights within the household. and on top of all of that, coming out as lesbian spelled doom for zodiak's relationship with her father as well as her parents' marriage; her father finally divorcing her mother for daring to support her. even though zodiak has since left her childhood home behind, they still feel pressured to visit their parents and relatives, subjecting themselves to endless drama.

in adulthood, zodiak stays afloat by working as a zookeeper. they absolutely adore their job and wouldn't trade it for the world! they own a small cottage by the countryside, and for a long time they spent their days roaming the meadows and forests, wishing for more in life. zodiak's goal, more than anything, was to finally see the world.

all was relatively peaceful in zodiak's life up until they were approaching the end of a particularly stressful day at work. it was just too much. zodiak needed an outlet- just a few moments to wander the zoo would work wonders; literally, it seemed, as zodiak came across a shed towards the back end of the zoo. none of their colleagues had the key, nor did they bother to find one. but that day a weird rippling sensation affected the door. wanting to know if it was just their imagination, zodiak placed a paw atop the handle and... promptly fell right into the middle of the street, in a world surrounded by demonic hellfire.

as it turned out, dimensions fueled by emotions popped up in places all around the world- or, zodiak's world at least. the world of demons zodiak had fallen into- a land in which they found a friend and mentor to guide them back home -had been brought upon by the rage they felt at their job that day. sensations of joy brought zodiak to wondrous lands of romance and warmth. and unbridled wonder always stayed in the same place, meaning zodiak could enter and exit whenever she pleased- and once she was experienced enough, they gained the ability to will certain dimensions to appear just before traveling. zodiak made friends, found love, and definitely got to see her world and many more!
