Hyou

Personality and Habits:

Hyou is an extremely volatile creature. He can be friendly enough one moment and then tear someone apart the next. He's actually fairly intelligent until he's hungry, and likes to learn and hear about many things. He believes and knows he is strong but he is unaware of his own mental potential.

He hasn't received praise before, but he would drink it in like the water around him and could possibly be somewhat tamed through it. On a similar note, those little black nodes on his face...

He likes to swim close enough to the surface on sunny days and soak in some sun beneath the water.

Life and Circumstances in Brief:

Much of what Hyou knows and remembers of his life is hunger and eating. His particular breed of merfolk is distrusted, and as such he's been subject to prejudice but hardly notices it. He himself doesn't live around fellow piranha merfolk for worry that they'll consume him, but he has hunted with a few in a pair to ensure larger prey.

He has been straying towards the deeper ocean for the past 5 years but has recently started swimming upwards.

Abilities:

Has a bite pressure stronger than a great white shark's.

Able to consume half of his body weight before suffering the effects of overeating.

Strong enough to capsize small boats by ramming into them, and has the skeletal density to do so.

Able to sing surprisingly well if taught to do so.
