Luz

A young woman, part of a "supernatural investigation team" that was more or less an excuse for a bunch of young adults to goof off together. Most of their activities included getting food, urbexing, and checking out the weird spots around town -- that is until they all mysteriously disappeared on a fateful night, in the basement of an abandoned farmhouse. She is the only one who survived.

 Often interpreted as childish/young because of her attitude/liking of cute things. She leans into other people protecting her and doing things for her a lot, and enjoys the attention -- it also makes people underestimate her, and on a level she enjoys defying other people's thoughts and expectations of her. However, she's not the most secure person in the world and the way her friends and family treat her are starting to make her lose sight of herself. She has a problem of letting other people define who she is and what she should be, and is struggling to rely on herself.

She has a bit of an attitude and can be mean if she really wants to, but that's a weapon she wields only against people who really earn her ire.

The night her friends disappeared, she had attempted to take on more of a leadership role within the group. She feels very guilty about what happened and for being too afraid to go back. Luz thinks that if she had acted sooner or done something different, she could've saved them. When she does return to the scene of the crime, she meets a mysterious stranger who claims to possess knowledge of what happened to them, if only she'll trust him. Feeling helpless, she plays along until she wakes up in a derelict house, trapped there by a monster pretending to be human.. and that monster has taken a liking to her.
