Eyeless Jack

Backstory

Jack is a shapeshifting forest creature that spontaneously gained sentience. He 'grew' from a small, mindless predator to a stealthy beast that chose to take the same shape as its main food source. With suddenly being a person came his fascination with human beings. Yes, he eats organs, and he has learned to do so with more finesse and discretion, but he doesn't hate humans. He kind of wants to be among them.

Jack grew up around Jeff, who was not totally enthused to suddenly hear the weird tree-crawling goop man talk to him. Jeff is Jack's only source of social interaction, which surprisingly isn't that bad of an influence, even if Jeff mostly bullies him. When more proxies show up, Jack is eager to get to know them.

Personality

Jack is enthusiastic about meeting new people. He's kind, curious, generous, and wants desperately to please. He is pretty open about what he does as a monster-- it seems right for people to know-- but he also sometimes fails in judging what the average human finds disgusting or not. He's still learning, and he loves to learn. He really just wants friends.

As a monster, he is insect-based, prone to making chittering noises when upset or deep in thought. If he goes hungry he becomes more feral and will eventually transform into a car-sized, louse-like creature that can't be reasoned with. Also, he's got tentacles.
