Hazel

Backstory

Hazel has always been a wallflower, quiet and shy, unwilling to dress too flashy in case someone noticed and thought it looked bad. She had a close friendship with Jeff as a child, creating a pact with him after the two went through an undisclosed incident together. In high school, however, Jeff quickly blossomed into a popular extrovert, and they drifted, save for the regular check-up phone call. It was at this time that Hazel also held a long and indomitable crush on him. He was so bright, brave, and sociable. Everything she wanted to be.

She moved away for college. Her crush subsided and she finally grew into her own: deciding to dye her hair, being bolder about her interests and her quirks. Now holding a Bachelor's and living well as a programmer, Hazel is not the same girl she used to be. She often thinks of Jeff, and is heartbroken when he suddenly goes missing. She did not think things could get worse when he shows up on her doorstep months later.

Personality

Hazel is pretty laid-back and comfortable with herself. She has a lot to prove as a woman in the programming world, and also a lot to prove to her insecure teenage self, so she takes things head on. Meeting people has become easier, but she's found she pretty much prefers a chill night in anyway. She is probably someone's Geek Girlfriend Fantasy.
