Twenty One Pilots
Mae's the little sister of the family but my god is she a trouble maker, she's not someone to underestimate. She's very kind hearted and emotional! But she loves the emotion of DANGER and CHAOS!! She's very excitable and hyper, and simply can't handle not being constantly active because she needs the stimulation. This might go past people's comfort zones sometimes, but it comes from her being unaware, not out of malicious intent. Mae appears to love causing destructive mayhem, making all sorts of weapons and machinery to keep herself entertained!
Mae was isolated for most of her early life so a lot of things are new to her, and that includes people. For a while she thought it was because of her isolation that she wasn't having the best time getting people to like her but the more she tried the more she started feeling like there might be something "inherently wrong" with who she is. So Mae spends most of her time up on her own head, sometimes even blanking out for several hours because she's thinking of so many different things at once.
She's like an energy drink after you shook it around for like 10 minutes and we love that for her.

Mae has Hypersense magic and falls under the illusionist category:
Mae is able to do extra illusions of herself but they aren't tangible, and since she doesn't have full control of her powers yet they can happen at random based on strong emotions and what she wishes she could do in the moment. Eventually, her alters are able to manifest using these powers, but different to the other illusions, these ones are real and tangible and can stay for long periods of time.
- Mae doesnt have a preference between walking on 4 legs and 2. But all her poses are very funky, mostly because she thinks its fun.
- Has autism and DID, more than likely ADHD too.
- Mae, Loona and Nini lived as nomads for a while before joining Arcadia. She misses it.
- Mae is not aware of her alters at the beginning of the story, and her alters were not aware of each other either.
- She listens to music in high volume while working. I imagine her in the middle of something extremely dangerous, and she just sits down, blasts music and starts recording herself like "hi yeah so, today I am stuck in a flood of my own making".
- Mae is the character that first finds out that Arcadia (or more like it's ruler Alcatraz) might not be the best person, so she has a lot of conflicting emotions regarding where she stands and the townfolk who, besides her siblings, just don't treat her very seriously.
- Mae has a troubled past that she does not like to disclose. And she shared this past with someone she lost a long time ago.
- She is very light sensitive and that's why she uses her goggles.
- She really enjoys explosions and the like because of their colors and destructive nature but she doesn't like the intense light.
She has very pointy messy fur, specially on her cheeks, tail and head. Her ears are long and pointy as well as her snout. She has an overbite! So it looks like she's going :} with two pointy canine teeth poking out with a big smile. She has a blue-hued white underbelly and small freckles across her face, shoulders, arms and legs. A lot of her bombs and machinery are that kind of purple color.
You can come up with any outfit you want, I feel like she would be willing to wear other things for different occassions.
Adoptive older sister
Loona and Mae are oldest sister and littlest sister. Loona's over protective because she literally found Mae dying when they first met. Mae on the other hand is a litol intimidated by her because of her overprotective nature and because Mae feels she owes Loona back but will never be able to actually repay her.
Adoptive Sister
Mae thinks Nini is the coolest, she looks up to her a lot and seeks comfort from her! Mae has a lot of low confidence and Nini is very good and boosting it with her positivism and cool attitude.
Nibling
Even if Noriel is someone very distant and quite the opposite to how Mae is, Mae considers Noriel someone very insightful and gets excited whenever they get the confidence to give their opinion. Noriel played an important part on the earlier moments of Mae understanding her DID. The two of them have more in common than they realize!
Niece
The two of them started really well because of their shared love for chaos, but Mae knew she would ultimately go too far. Now Kana keeps her distance and looks at Mae with awkward politeness. It's for the best to leave her be from now on.
Protector alter...?
Mae's never been good at doing whats expected of her, but Matiz knows how to blend with society better and is a lot more confident, peppy and charismatic. Matiz is here for whenever Mae is in a situation she doesn't know how to handle properly without screwing herself over.
Matiz wants to help, but why does it feel so draining. Mae likes Matiz a lot but the feeling doesn't seem to be very mutual. But regardless they help eachother out.
Persecutor alter...?
Bea is the representation of the confusing thoughts and opinions that Mae is having that she's not allowed to process. Bea stays distant and barely talks, but whenever she interacts with others she's very defensive and even aggresive at times. Most people have negative feedback about Bea, but Mae is puzzled by this since she hasn't experienced it herself.
Mae loves Bea very much but she wishes she could reach out to her and help her with all the emotions she's dealing with right now.
