He originally had a normal left arm and right leg, but due to his extremely pacifist views on fighting and his hesitation towards violence, he was overpowered by other gang members who beat him senseless whilst trying to invade his territory. He woke up in hospital with Applesauce (Chicago Isaacton, @ Baislove's OC on Paigeeworld) discussing with fellow surgeons, wondering what was happening and who they were, he was shocked he was alive and even more so when seeing his arm and leg were gone. He later found out that Applesauce was paying to have his surgery, and of course, he refused, he had heard of Sandspur and their reputation of being passive like him, but their generosity was a side he'd never seen, but he was in no position to attempting to refuse treatment in his critical condition. Despite wanting it, he hated the idea of taking away from someone, especially from a stranger who didn't seem to want anything in return.

After getting surgery done to become partially bionic, he realized that having strong metal cybernetic limbs would be an advantage, even if HE was weak physically, his metal counterparts were not. He trains himself every so often to become better at times of need, though his improvement is slow. He asked to join Applesauce's gang then hey ho here he is now.
 
He got his name Lark from Applesauce too, whom noticed his deep interest in flowers. Larkspur is a flower, and means/symbolises a beautiful spirit (or so i think idk i googled flower meanings and thought this was cool lmao). He can speak multiple languages which he picked up on as he grew, and easily bonds with children, he sees them as innocent no matter how troublesome some can be and values that they have a good upbringing since he was not given the same.
 
The amount of respect he has towards Applecause is phWOAH A LOt;;. Applesauce is his ultimate role model and aspiration, he does tend to feel guilty that a large amount of the funds Sandspur collected was spent on him but is determined to make himself useful for the gang because it's the least he could do. To him Applesauce is the epitome of kindness and he cherishes his time with the rest of the gang.
