ANOMALY CONTROL AND RESEARCH FACILITY

DESCRIPTION

The Anomaly Control And Research Facility (ACARF) is an independent facility dedicated to the control, capture and research of anomalies. 

Anomalies are entities that appear to exist outside of the natural world, beyond the scope of current scientific understanding and conventional explanations. These entities have been seen to exhibit a range of strange phenomena, including unexplainable movement, strange behavior and mysterious abilities. While their existence is undeniable, their nature remains largely unknown. This is why the Anomaly Capture And Research Facility has made it its mission to study these entities.


THE FACILITY

The ACARF consists of three research laboratories, multiple containment areas, a medical bay, a personnel area, a storage area, an armory, and a basement chamber. In addition, the facility is also equipped with a library and archives of information regarding anomalies and their containment and research, as well as a database of existing anomalies. This allows for a better understanding of anomalies and their potential implications. 

The research laboratories are supplied with the latest technology and equipment to conduct research into the nature of anomalies and their effects on the environment. There is three main laboratories in the facility: the bio lab, the physics lab, and the chemistry lab. The bio lab the main laboratory and is used for experiments in biochemistry, genetics, and other life sciences. It has several workstations, each equipped with a microscope, a computer, and a variety of specialised tools. It also contains a large area for storing specimens and samples, as well as a number of incubators and other specialized pieces of machinery. In the center is a large table, which serves as both a workspace and a place to display the results of the researchers' work. The physics lab is equipped with instruments for experiments in atomic and particle physics, as well as equipment for studying electromagnetism, optics, and more. The analytical chemistry Lab contains a variety of instruments used for measuring the physical and chemical properties of substances, as well as testing for the presence of pollutants and other contaminants.

The containment areas consist of multiple chambers in varying sizes which are designed to securely contain and monitor any anomalies that are captured or studied by the research team. Every chamber is equipped with a temperature and humidity controller to adjust the conditions as needed. High security chambers with reinforced walls and doors are provided for particularly dangerous anomalies alongside advanced monitoring technologies to ensure safety. The hallways between chambers are equipped with various tools and emergency supplies to ensure the personnel is always prepared for an emergency.

The medical bay is a vital part of the operation. It is equipped with the latest in medical technology, medical supplies and staffed by a team of highly trained medical personnel to ensure that any emergency situations can be handled quickly and effectively. In addition to the medical supplies, the medical bay is also equipped with specialized medical equipment to handle any anomalies that may emerge from the patients. All personnel are also provided with the latest in medical training to ensure they are prepared to handle any situation that may arise in the facility.

The personnel area is the nerve-center of the facility, responsible for recruiting and managing the personnel that are tasked with operating and maintaining the research and containment systems. The personnel area is equipped with a wide variety of resources and amenities to keep the staff happy and productive. There are comfortable lounge areas for staff to take breaks and an on-site cafeteria with a variety of meal options. The personnel area also includes offices for management and administrative staff, as well as a secure conference room for meetings and briefings. Finally, the personnel area has a secure locker room to store personal items safely while staff are on the job.

The storage area is designed to securely store various supplies and highly specialised equipment to support in-facility and field control, as well as house various additional supplies to ensure survival of staff and contained anomalies in case of a lock down.

The armory houses an expansive array of weapons and equipment used for capturing and controlling anomalies. It offers a wide variety of firearms, including shotguns, rifles, and handguns, as well as specialized weapons such as plasma knives, tranquilizer darts, EMP guns, and various types of prototype armor. All staff get basic weapon and self-defense training, security staff get advanced weapon training and access to heavier weaponry to protect the facility in an emergency.

The basement chamber is a large room containing a single portal anomaly. As of now the portal can not be entered. The chamber was constructed after studying its movement, and the facility was then built around the chamber. The anomaly appears to always move horizontally on an oval path and takes an average of 27,3 days to return to the same positon, moving 10,2 metre or 401,56 inches across the room. The chamber is equipped with modern technology to consistently monitor and track the anomaly and report any unexpected deviations to staff immediately. 

All areas are monitored by a sophisticated security system to ensure the safety and security of the facility.

The security room has advanced surveillance technology, including CCTV cameras, biometric scans, and infrared sensors. This technology helps detect any information or potential danger that may be present. The room has a staffed security desk that checks IDs and tracks movements in the facility. The security staff also monitors the security system to prevent any unauthorized access. Finally, the security room also includes a vast array of monitoring and communication equipment, which allows for quick communication between the security staff and the rest of the facility when needed.
