- Wren and Finch were born conjoined at the shoulder. Surgery shortly  after birth successfully separated them, but their respective forelegs  had to be amputated.
- The surgery costs left their birth parents in  tremendous financial debt, so they heartbreakingly decided to give them  up for adoption once they recovered from the surgery.
- Both twins were adopted by Livestrong and Pathfinder a few years following the tragic death of their only child.
- The two twins are inseparably close, though Finch often gets a little too rough with his sister when they play, upsetting her.
