333 is a character I've been wanting to bring to life for a long while now, and I finally happened to stumble across the Quilldog species which I thought could represent my idea accurately.

This character is based off a book I read as a child of traveler's stories that told of a canine creature that guided them through the night when walking was the main form of transport. It was common that lone travelers were attacked and robbed when traveling through the night, but it seemed a canine of some sort helped ward off predators. 333 is the aforementioned book bought to life while mixed with my own imagination.

Three does not have a known gender. In fact, not much is known about the creature at ill. Any information surrounding the creature is solely from the stories retold from travelers who too are still confused about what they have seen.

Three makes its appearance only in the night, usually around forest areas where there are no lights or clear pathways. Travelers have all explained that their first sight of the creature is a silver-like glistening between the trees, which in truth is the reflection of the moonlight hitting its aurora-covered coat as it glides through the shadows.

It is a very gentle creature whose only motive is to help and guide lost travelers. It stays a safe distance away to avoid causing fear, but is close enough to keep an eye on them. It can communicate with the stars and skies above and records the traveler's path on its tail in the form of constellations. In the case that a traveler becomes lost, it purposely allows its coat to become more visible in the moonlight and uses the recorded stars to lead the traveler back on track.

Its name comes from the meaning behind the time "3:33" which is said to represent a guardian angel watching over you - which is basically what Three is for travelers, hence, The Galaxy's Guide.

In terms of appearance, it has two crests (further species info in link above) - one behind its ears and another at its rump. It's quills are decorated with beads of stars and planets, of which the rump's decorations flow into and wrap around its tail. The tail also gradients into transparency so it blends in with the night. Its eyes and face markings glow white like moons, but unlike the eyes, the face markings are, on closer inspection, filled with galaxies and space.
