Kendel is the youngest son of the Devil, and loves to pass himself off as an angelic figure to fool people. He's a menace, honestly - he usually doesn't mean any actual harm, he just likes to party it up and have fun. Unfortunately, his version of fun is a bit too rough for most mortals...

Sometimes Kendel is not that. Sometimes, Kendel is one of the fae - though they'd much like you to believe that it's the spawn of the Devil, that sounds suitably threatening. His True Name is something along the lines of, Enyniad yn y Cysgod Kenwyll Shachar, Dappled Through Shadow, The Ash Thief, Third to the Wheel-Spoke Throne, Nobility of Old Blood, Tywysog Bradwr, something about being a traitor, doesn't matter, no need to continue going on...
Kendel perhaps played a game with someone he shouldn't have, did somethinga bit too nasty - and so it got locked away in an ash tree in the New World. Oh, so dull, Kendel had thought they might die from the pure boredom, but oh, luck, the small folk had come to settle in. Kendel had to be careful, no use in getting its tree driven through with iron nails, but - if they could just manage to have a bit of fun... and maybe one of these little pests might hold the key to getting Kendel free.
