Kohana

Facts, pls read if you're drawing her!
- The mask is optional. It's a talisman, she got from Shiori, to protect her from Demons. She only wears it if she leaves the city or if she wants to go to dangerous places. (The Mask hides her energy. So demons won't notice her if she isn't in sight)


Abilities
Nothing ~ Well… She's smart, so she has good understandings of politics and helps out her father (A Mayor) a lot. But that's about it.


Story
Kohana had a nice childhood. Her parents were and are still really nice. Her father is the Mayor of the Capital in Ryleath, while her Mother does the house keeping. Kohana soon developed interest for the job of her father. She loved how he tried to find solutions for the problems in town. Soon she started throwing in own ideas. It didn't take long, until he noticed, how smart her ideas were, so he started teaching her about politics.
Kohana was really interested in all that, so she learned fast. She helped her father a lot and soon was able to go to meetings as his representative. That way she got into contact with Shiori (the high priest) And got into a political friendship with her. It's not that they like each other, in fact Kohana doesn't like the way Shiori handles things at all. Kohana thinks, Demons should be researched and negotiations should be made with them. It's not good to kill them all, there will just be more and more to revenge them. But it's important to have a good relationship. So Kohana can't change Shiori's mind easily. Another priest, Akuma sometimes visited her and she shared Kohana's opinions about Siori's ways. Her Shikigami Scarlet was always with her. (Kohana didn't notice it but Scarlet started liking her over time and eventually fell for her)
Kohana also had a nice friend, Aynua. A playful little girl that dragged her around to play with her. Kohana really enjoyed that. It was a nice change from her usual life. She was also friends with Shiori and Akuma but they didn't talk much about the two.
Well, So Kohana's life goes on. She had fun helping her father or playing with Aynua, sometimes also talking to Akuma. It's a nice normal life.

About the politics (Didn't want the story to get too long):
Basically Ryleath is split into two worlds. The Overworld and the Underworld. The Underworld is populated by Demons, while the Overworld is populated by Manisa (basically Kemonomimis). From time to time Portals open connecting the two worlds. Demons come to the Overworld and cause Chaos. To fight them, special Manisa, that are born with incredible abilities (Usually without ears and tails, nobody really knows why that is) gathered together under the high priest Shiori. They fight the demons. Over the years, also the organization of demon hunters developed. They're born without abilities but they have good skills with weapons. It was originally people who didn't like the priest's work. It's also nice that everyone could become a bounty hunter, no matter the level of spiritual energy. The priests made them a sub organization giving them money for the heads of demons. So they became known as bounty hunters. It was an act of justice first, now it's a job. The main temple as well as the cafe that is the main place for bounty hunters are located in the capital city. And – the people that don't get much attention most of the time are the Mayors. Every month a council of the Mayors of most cities in Ryleath comes together in the capital, to talk about the politics that doesn't involve demons.
For example, they discuss economy, law, relationships to the priests, and how dangerous it is, that Shiori alone could control the whole Overworld if she wanted. Furthermore small things like the organization of festivals or projects to make the people feel more comfortable are discussed.
