Like any Hyoutai, Shion is someone who you do not want to anger.

Typically, Shion acts very cowardly, jumping at just about anything that sneak up on him, and even crying and running away in cases where he has to fight. As such, his historical masters usually break contracts with him since he is so meek and useless.

This is exactly what he wants. Typically when a contract with Shion is broken, the former master is found dead the next day.

Shion is actually quite strong, but he is very lazy and prefers to avoid fighting if he can, finding it far more amusing to trick his enemies into harming, and even killing, themselves and their own allies. 

In rare cases where a master manages to see through Shion's cowardly act, Shion serves them with incredible loyalty, unless they cross him.
