Verus Valerius

Verus Valerius was a Battle Mage under Emperor Varen Aquilarios. As the Emperor passed and his wife Clivia Tharn became ruler of Cyrodiil he became suspicious of the involvement of the Necomancer Mannimarco and his connections to the Deadric Prince Molag Bal.

With a small group inside the Elder council he began to plot against Mannimarco but the group was found out.

Under torture the Wormcult tried to get the Names of all involved but Varus said no word even when they cut out his eyes. Regrettably one of the the others could not stand the pain and so the whole resistance was extinguished.
Varus was murdered by Mannimarco himself and his soul send off to the God of Schemes in Cold Harbour.

Ripped off his soul Varus managed to escape from the dark realm with the help of the Prophet and ended up on the shores of Stros M'Kai.
He later joined the Daggerfall Covenant but in truth he stayed loyal to the Empire. His battle against Mannimarco had not ended yet...

Eventually he joined Abnur Tharn in order to end the three banners war but ended up releasing Dragons over Elsweyer. Now working to fix up the mess... 

Even though his blindness he sustained his positive nature.
When asked how he gets around like this he tends to answer that his "Imperial seeing donkey" leads him around.
In fact he is still a very capable Fire Mage.
