Dr. Kem Valier, CMO of The Dragon (sentient spaceship which traps a bunch of guys on it and they just have to kind of deal with that)
Is a bajoran. I made my bajorans more alien looking you're welcome. Grew up on bajor, picking up the pieces after the occupation + dominion war. Is a very very good doctor--it appeals both to his innate need to heal people and also his god complex. Manipulative, but always has your best interests at heart. Cordial and comforting bedside manner. Genuinely cares about you, albeit in a slightly messianic sort of way. Open-minded and smart, but prone to a little self-aggrandizing, as well as working himself to the bone.
Since The Dragon is so short-staffed he also finds himself playing counselor too, which his big wet eyes make him extra good at. I just want you to take better care of yourself, okay 🥺
Doesn't actually follow the prophets at all--he's part of a growing number of bajorans who've had their faith shattered too much to ever recover from.

- For those who don't know, Bajoran names are written Lastname Firstname. So, on duty he's Dr. Kem, off duty you get to call him Valier.
- Adoptive brother of Kem Olan
- Actually, despite the art, probably doesn't wear the earring. Or if he does, it's to honour his family, not the Prophets.
- My Bajorans are not as big on personal space as species like humans are. It took a lot of training for him to quell the urge to pour himself into somebody's lap whilst having a heartfelt conversation. He also loves making the deepest most adorable eye contact.
- My Bajorans have prehensile tails... two of them! Very handy for multitasking.
