Amy. Just Amy. I think she's had last names before but they've never stuck. She's been a lot of things. I even put her in the middle ages at one point and a zombie rp at another. But she's more of a modern girl. And sort of an X-men character. She fits well into that world. She was originally based off of a character reference sheet I saw on Deviantart. She doesn't look anything at all like that character, but I took the electricity powers and another detail about how it can safely be contained in her body. Also, she's a bit like Rogue because she can't touch anyone or she'll hurt them with her power. So as you can imagine that makes her VERY angsty. I don't have any other angsty characters, except Pearl sort of, so all that feeling gets poured into her, haha.

X-Men type world? Or MAYBE a "gifted" school
Amy has trouble keeping her powers to herself and it makes her a frightened loner. She wears rubber lined clothing and nothing conductive (all her jewelry is plastic or glass). Technology is kind of a pain for her because even something as simple as headphones can spark out due to her powers. So she has to get a special brands of those as well and she only uses them when she's alone. Imagine someone sneaking up on her and laying a hand on her shoulder because she couldn't hear them? They'd get fried!
Of course, as much as her powers are constantly seeking a connection--Amy is no different. She has her parents, but that's it. And eventually she doesn't get to keep them either. She helps someone who's in trouble--outing herself--and goes to live out in the woods with a family friend. But even then, she's still going to encounter some people. Like a cop or a ranger or stupid kids out doing stupid things where no one can see them.
She has a lot of active dreams about people with powers that could get along with hers and all the various ways they could meet. It's a dangerously alluring, and lonely, fantasy but it's all she's got.
And every once and a while when a storm is bad enough, she goes out and actually lets loose. For the next several days (that it takes to rebuild her store of energy) she can actually touch another person without electrocuting them. But right now... out in the woods with only Jerry (her guardian)... there's no one to express that craving onto.
