Chad Bradshaw

A famous internet celebrity/influencer that also happens to hunt creatures of the night in his spare time.

Born as the only child to a wealthy couple, Chad had everything he'd ever wanted from the very start. Blessed with good looks too, it was almost natural for him to quickly garner a fan base as soon as he took to social media. Chad was grateful. He was a celebrity adored by thousands- millions! He was living an actual dream!
Then he stumbled upon a terrible secret.
There had been rumors that circulated over the university he attended, Hallows Academy; going through a certain door at a certain time would take you away forever, never to return. He never believed it, but the idea of filming it for clout was just too good a chance to pass up. As he journeyed to the door he came across several other individuals, each one with the same idea as him.
They found the door and learned the truth.
It was far more horrifying than anything any of them could have thought of.
Chad considered himself more than just lucky to get out of that hellhole alive. He had seen monstrous creatures, things that shouldn't exist even in the darkest pits of Hell. It traumatized him. And yet, it also ignited something in him. All he could think of back at that nightmare was protecting the people trapped with him. But who knows how many of those creatures are in the real world too? He wanted to protect everyone.
And thus started his journey as a hunter of the night.

Notes: My first DnD character that I got to play more than one session with! It was pure fate, honestly. I was in a slump when I found the advertisement for the DnD campaign and joined in, and I've had nothing but a blast since then! Everyone had such cool concepts and characters that I decided, "Why not play a cliche trope to balance the scales?" I wanted to play the jock! The cool guy that is stupid but strong! Then I thought, "What would a good modern version of that be?" And immediately it hit me: influencer.
The campaign is still going on so who knows what might change (Chad might die for all I know KEKEKEK), but I like to imagine this is what he would grow up into. I think this concept started with his main weapon. I thought about a selfie stick that could turn into a cross and wondered who could pull it off, then immediately thought of Chad!

Personality: Your basic influencer, Chad is very conscious about appearance. He does what he thinks will get him the most popularity, meaning he's loud, obnoxious, and wild. His first instinct, no matter how severe the situation, is to take a selfie. Despite that, he is authentically kindhearted and helps when he believes someone needs it. He tries to make sure nobody is left out and encourages people's hobbies.
His desire to protect others has grown, giving him the ruthlessness needed when hunting monsters. His experience at the university matured him, as well, giving him a more thoughtful approach to situations... when he's not taking selfies.

Non-Human Weapons:
- Selfie Stick - An item Chad has on him at absolutely all times, he tends to take selfies with those he feels could be vampires. Should they not appear in his pictures, he'll know, and with the press of the button his selfie stick will turn into a cross.
- Baseball Bat - A bat he's had for ages, as well as a gift from his parents. Every night he washes it with holy water.
- Baseballs - He carries up to 5 baseballs on him at all time. Each one has a small cross embedded in them, combined with the contact of his holy water bat.

Drawing Details: In his casual outfit, Chad wears a black track suit with stripes on the sleeves and pants. The jacket is halfway unzipped, and his sleeves are scrunched up to the middle of his forearms. He wears a simple white shirt underneath the jacket. In his hunting outfit, he looks as though he's come straight from Bloodborne, especially through his hat and the mask he puts over his mouth and nose in case of poison. In this outfit he also wears a long coat and ensemble to match, though, for some reason, there's still a sports sign on its backside. When working, he wears a simple baseball uniform with a red and white color scheme.

Fun/Extra Facts:

- An only child. Quite spoiled.

- His parents are very supportive. They support him being a hunter, but think it's weird.

- Actually bought a video game Halloween outfit to use as his hunting outfit.

- Works at a local school as their Track/Field and Baseball coach.

- Baseball is his favorite sport.

- Sometimes wears a GoPro on his hat when he's hunting.

- Now has a few different channels, one for his vlogs, one for hunting, and one for coaching.

- Doesn't trust TikTok very much from all the vampires he's seen on there.

- There was a priest and a clairvoyant he was with when he was locked in the strange world within his university. He goes to them when he needs advice or holy weapons.

- Keeps in touch with the people he went on his adventure with.

- Never considered dating the same sex until his adventure.

- A melee kind of fighter when it comes to hunting.
