"Ah. yes. This is one of my usb ports. Please remove your pen from it."

appearance

Val is a tall looking young man with white hair. He has blue eyes and his skin is white. White like a litteral sheet of paper. His skin doesn't feel flesh like, it feels like rubber regarding it's elasticity. As he's a rather old surviving model, he possesses features some androids do not share, like, usb ports in the back of his neck. Which is a rare sight to have in the time he lives in. As he's not built with biological material in contrary to the newest models of androids, seeing him for the first time may feel uncanny. Still he looks realistic, save for a couple details (FI: lag in emotional reaction).

personality

He’s very patient with people, and it’s hard to anger him. He actually give people what he cannot provide for himself: being understanding of one’s flaws. In his normal mindset he appears to be quite the good orator. He’s also very polite. He cannot handle himself whenever he’s making mistakes or things don’t go according to his plans. In these cases, he becomes very emotional. He’s a very anxious person and if something goes down, he starts to think everything is his fault. He’s also too frank with people which might make him look like an ass at first but he never tries to tell “truths” in order to hurt people. Unfortunately for him, the fact that he's a far outdated model makes some of his behaviour unrealistic since his interface was crafted by men and not inspired from men's brain: he cannot replicate to violence, he cannot hurt people in a malicious way. The worst form of "violence" he can display is simply sarcasm, and he uses it rarely because he has trouble understanding the concept, so sometimes he even fails at that. He also is very bad at humour, and his jokes are very limited. Though when it comes to work, he's extremely efficient. He rarely needs to rest, and once he's launched on a path it is quite hard to stop him from progressing.

history

Val was built in 225X in a vast city named The Citadel. technological advances had reached it's highest peak in the century, but still, the market of androids was rather niche. The most rich could buy them. Otherwise they were used for public services with limits of course, in order to maintain employment. The concept worked for fifty years. the next ten years didn't go as planned by the government. With the raise of the neo-progressive party, and it's influence on the government, work laws have been recasted, some multilateral trade agreements have been dealt with, screwing over the supply and demand in the work market. It became easier for corporations to buy androids than to hire people. This inevitably led to a economic krach.

val was working as the assistant of police officer Vincent during this worldwide crisis. They investigated the raise of a ring of angered civilians who decided damage, hack, and destroy the andoids roaming around The Citadel.

relationships

• Officer Vincent: They're acquaintances, they are not in any bad blood, or so he thinks. he doesn't have any other relationships. If he had, he porobably forgot, since he needs to purge his memory in order for his brain to be in optimal shape. They've been working together for ten years. He thinks the officer is a bit emotionally detached but doesn't try to understand why, he thinks it's just a part of his character
