Physical Appearance:

Average reaper build, except taller (about 7’ lean, but muscular). His hair is a very light cedar brown and is pulled back into a ponytail. His eye color is unknown because his eyelids have been stitched together. He has a medium toned skin, but it is much darker than most reapers. His age is also undeterminable, due to reapers not aging around their 20s. He carries himself like  soldier, and proudly wears the reaper uniform. He also wears bandages around his eyes, and two phoenix feathers behind his right ear.

Personality:

INTJ - Absent-minded, quiet, practical, and down to earth. More openly protective of others than most Stealer class reapers, but his is still very withdrawn and doesn’t express his emotions easily. Surprisingly gentle and kind to those he is told to protect, but has a tendency to ignore everyone else. Obeys orders without question, and is a very good soldier. As he doesn’t display his emotions, it is hard to tell what he is feeling. Light annoys him as it can make him focus too much on one reality, so he will often turn most of the lights off in a room. There are rumors that he has chronic depression, but they are just rumors at this point.

Weapons/Powers:

He has two souls instead of the usual two, this allows him to wield two disconnected weapons, but have each still be powered by his souls. His weapon of choice are bladed tonfa. He always wears them on his person, but they appear as tiny boxes of metal held on by a thin strap of leather. However, when he activates them, they detach from his arm and grow into a large pair of bladed tonfa with his soul energy coursing through them. Since becoming blind, he has also learned to shape an alternate reality inside his mind and travel through that.

Background:

He had a fairly normal childhood. He came from a formerly noble family, so he was treated with a slight bit more respect than others, but he never thought much of it.

He went to the Academy when he was 15, just like every other reaper. There he met the partner he would always look up too and admire. They bonded almost instantly, and were best friends throughout the academy years. Once they graduated, they chose to go right into the military, as there was a war going on.

A large rebel faction had broken away, and was now attacking the Reaper cities at random. They were brutal to their enemies, leaving no survivors. They called themselves The Manticore, and claimed that they wanted the Reapers to be a democracy, not a aristocratic republic.

The other reapers did not take lightly to this rebellion, or the way The Manticore was murdering hundreds of innocents.

Jeshu and his partner were in one of the first companies that were formed to fight them. Sadly, their military career would not last long at all.

In their first battle, The Manticore outnumbered them nearly five to one. The entire company was destroyed with the exception of Jeshu and his partner. The Manticore saw their great potential and how young they were, took them as prisoners, and tried to get them to join their side. Both captives refused, and were tortured, but when they still refused Jeshu’s partner was killed, and his eyelids were sewn shut. The Manticore then locked him in a small cage and left him for dead.

Luckily for Jeshu, there had been a team tracking The Manticore, and they found Jeshu a little over a week later. He recovered fairly quickly, but his eyes did not. There was no way to remove the scar tissue that had formed, and guarantee that he would be able to see. Though many of his friends and family tried to convince him to at least try it, Jeshu refused to try to see again. The last thing he had seen was his beloved partner beaten to death, and he felt like he wasn’t worth being able to see anymore.

Instead, he took years of therapy and training to learn how to make and travel around an alternate reality inside his head. He also gave up his assault rifle in favor of bladed tonfa. The war was over before he was finally able to fight decently again, but he didn’t care.

His company had been fondly named the Phoenix Company, and he wears two phoenix feathers in his hair to pay respect to that.

While he has had many various achievements throughout the years, he has never considered them very important, preferring to help out those he can. He has retaught himself to play the piano and has gotten very good at it.
