He has lost his village, family and friends. He wasn’t there when it happened because he was out hunting. When he returned he found his village burned down and dead endermen everywhere. He couldn’t find any survivors. After a long time alone he found Dahi, who he thought could use his help and he eventually became friends with him. His scars came from fights with other endermen of agressive tribes a longer time ago.
