Description

Gwyzelle grew up in a small remote town called Rahillikus, in the depths of Romania. The town is known for their monster hunters; their area has various mystical creatures, good and bad, that are worth protecting and defending against. The town itself has specialized in teaching all its citizens how to deal with magical creatures, and Gwyzelle has always been very keen on learning it all. Having been adopted by a couple from the town after her own town was ravaged by vampires, Gwyzelle has always felt like she was a bit of an outsider. Her light-hearted, spontaneous nature made her a bit of an outcast, even though the people of the town liked having her around. Gwyzelle eventually decided to move to the States and live in the same city as her older cousin Craid, hoping she can replicate having a stable life at another location, while following her dream.

Driven by curiosity, Gwyzelle loves to learn new things, but often gets herself into trouble by nosing around in someone else’s business. She loves to take down notes about things she doesn’t know and treats it as important facts that she has to remember, no matter how trivial the fact is. Gwyzelle is not the most careful in asking personal questions and is bad at figuring out which point she should stop asking questions. It is always clear that she has no bad intentions; however, her bright smile and baby doll eyes get her out of quite awkward situations.

Gwyzelle is very extroverted and loves to join any activity she even has the slightest opportunity of joining. She easily creates new bonds by showing real interest in every individual she meets and loves to indulge in things she does not know yet. She is able to go to a lot of social events next to studying Mythology at the Fargone University. 

However, it should not be forgotten that her most prized skill is her knowledge and skill in identifying and defending herself against mythical creatures. Gwyzelle has a vast comprehension of alchemy and is known for always having a little kit with her, being able to create a wide array of concoctions to assist her in various sticky situations. She helps out Securis, her cousin Craid, under the alias Tabula, fighting against supernatural threats whenever necessary. Gwyzelle is a reliable companion, and is always useful to have around, as a friend, but also as a fighter.

Abilities

Gwyzelle has been trained from a young age and is skilled at combat, specifically with a whip. Besides that, she uses a variety of alchemical items, being able to create bombs, acid, and various specific banes for mythical creatures. Her whip, Epistula, has been enchanted to be strong against supernatural beings, and could stand a fight against foes that would seem way stronger than her.

At some point, Gwyzelle learns the ability to embue herself with the power of various glyphs she can draw with magical paint, giving her powers for a short time. For example, she can embue herself with the power of the bat, which grants her wings, or the power of the wind, enhancing her speed.

Notable Comic Arcs:

• The Unwritten Prodigy (Securis #3-#9): After having sent multiple letters Craid, Gwyzelle finally arrives at Fargone, setting up a room at his cousin’s house. Even though it takes her some work, Gwyzelle seems to easily figure out her way around this new city. She is also able to help Craid with her knowledge of the supernatural creatures Craid is fighting, since she has done more intricate research to them over the years. She eventually helps him fight under the alias ‘Tabula’.
• Call to War (Securis #90-#99, Chaotic Rhyss! #460-#500): After most of her friends had been kidnapped by the Goddess and almost killed. Gwyzelle makes sure everyone recovers well. She is unable to help out with Rhyss however, who removes himself from the group, detaching himself from most of his relationships. Gwyzelle is mostly busy with ensuring that her roommate and cousin Alina is handling the departure of her secret love well, as well as assisting Craid with being one of the new ‘heroes’ of the city now that Rhyss left. 
• Chaos! Going Global! (Chaotic Rhyss! #520-#545): Malka’i relics that have been scattered all over the world have started to go beserk, making them appear as beasts. In Slovakia, while one of the relics is easily found and captured, a gargoyle is threatening the small town that the relic was found in. Gwyzelle, with her knowledge of the supernatural, manages to make the Gargoyle a valued member of the town, helping with creating new buildings for the town. Rhyss apologies to Gwyzelle for leaving the group during Call to War and sees that she has done a lot of hard work to keep optimism in the group. Gwyzelle tells him that she had a great teacher for it in Fargone.
• A Grimm Mistake (Securis #108): During a battle with Grimm in some ancient ruins, Gwyzelle accidentally pushes Grimm into a deep pit during the battle, crippling him. Red fully blames Tabula for the accident, and vows to take revenge on her.
• Oblivaeon/Schism (Securis #121, Chaotic Rhyss! #623-633): As most big heroes are trying to stop Schism and his enforcers, Gwyzelle, who was now one of the members of Friend Force!, helps with the search and rescue, assisting with defending a shelter for the innocent. Once she hears of Craid’s passing, she realizes she would have to take up the mantle he left.

Comic Notes (Can be expanded or retconned on whenever):

• Gwyzelle’s first appearance is in a series of letters that she sends to Craid in the Chaotic Rhyss! comics before becoming a full-fledged character.
• She normally works together with Securis under the alias ‘Tabula’.
• Gwyzelle is a big fan of mythology, and often serves as a ‘lore-drop’ device when it comes to supernatural creatures. Her alias ‘Tabula’ is known in the superhero world as a great informant when it comes to fighting monsters.
• Gwyzelle is partially responsible for crippling Grimm, indirectly making him fall into a pit. Red has a massive grudge against her for that reason.
• Gwyzelle joins the Friend Force too as an honorary member, around a year or two before Oblivaeon. She gains a similar spot as Abby, though instead of being behind the scenes, she often pops up on the battlefield.
• After Oblivaeon, Gwyzelle takes up the mantle of Craid’s ‘Securis’ persona under the alias Tabula. She mainly takes over the hole in storytelling Craid left behind; she gains most of Craid’s rogues gallery as enemies.
