Trivia
  • Aerodonis makes his nest near an underwater volcano.
  • His scales change colors ever so slightly with the seasons; lighter when it's warmer, darker when it's colder.
  • On occasion, Aerodonis will speak purposefully in rhyme or alliteration in order to annoy whoever he’s talking to; he’s really not the sociable type, but he’s creative enough to have fun with it.
  • Aerodonis has no known family, but it doesn’t seem to bother him much.
About
Personality
Collector . Creator . Crass . Conceited

"Flattery will buy you riches you cannot fathom; but insolence will cost you everything."

Attributes

Aerodonis is the very definition of selfishness and narcissism; everything he does, he does for himself or for profit.

Coppery-gold scales cover his back, fleck over his clavicles, and small patches can be found on his upper arms. His tail however has some lenience in coloring; during the winter months, it's more of a dark copper, where in the warmer times of the year, his scales tend to lighten to a sunny yellow.

He tends to collect the glass that gets thrown into the oceans for his own uses- once they’ve been frosted over and turned to sea glass, he then uses the heat from the volcano to reshape them for ornaments and jewelry. (Though he could probably make a decent amount of coin selling them, he keeps them to himself).

Story

Born a smaller than normal fry in the warmer waters of the Mediterranean, Aerdonis’ early life was an uneventful one. He grew up under the doting care of both parents, wanting for nothing; though not royalty, they had one another, and it was all the riches the family could have ever asked for.

Tragedy struck around his eleventh birthday, however, when a fishing vessel was extremely lucky- or unlucky, it would seem - in scooping up both his mother and father, hauling them away to never be seen again. It was only through witness accounts that little Aerodonis learned of their fates, and resolved to allow himself to be captured in the same manner in order to find their whereabouts and hopefully set them free.

While he was successful in getting himself captured (it wasn’t particularly difficult, to be honest), it was by a completely different boat; a small dingy whose fishing net could barely contain the mer without capsizing the vessel completely. Aboard it was an older man who took pity on his catch, sending the young male back into the depths with a warning, and to treat his life with more respect than simply tossing it at futility.

Resigned, and with his heart full of anguish and anger, Aerodonis sought to isolate himself from the rest of his school, and live a life of solitude.
