Ronan

The shepherd's tactician in his universe, Ronan is a goofball of energy with little common sense. He makes a great fighter, but his strategic skills could use a little work; he's learning fast however! Ronan's weapon of choice is the sword, and has avoided using tomes because of his terrible skills with them. He prefers the faster slashing he can lash out with them and just thinks they look cool, so he aims to master using them, leaving a lot of time for sword practice.

Despite being a general idiot, Ronan does notice and understand signals that tell him he's bothering people or being a nuiscance. He has a good heart. But... many in the army are still bothered by him, Frederick especially. To make it worse, Ronan doesn't have the best luck with animals. Much like how some people may seem to have a bond with nature and are talented animal whisperers, Ronan is the exact opposite, left to resorting to desperate attempts such as trying to hold negotiations with the animal. A lot of animals seem to be naturally irritated by him.

Ronan usually gets along better and makes better friends with the women in the army, be it because they're more open to him, understand him, or simply just tolerate him better. Of course, he is close friends with Chrom as well, being his tactitian. Ronan has an obvious crush on Sumia, but this is difficult for him thanks to both Sumia's crush on Chrom, and the fact that Sumia's pegasus doesn't like him. It's become an almost comical situation for the other shepherds to watch.

A few other things about Ronan:

Ronan likes reading books - fiction wise, he loves reading adventure stories and things about heroes with swords. Nonfiction wise, he reads up on war strategies and war history.

He's not very fond of riding mounts because it's too difficult for him to accomplish.

Ronan is a big fan of the Falchion, once weilded by Marth.

Ronan prefers not to drink because he's so small and has zero tolerance to alcohol. "Drunk Ronan" is essentially just "Passed out Ronan", there's no in-between.
