Shiranui-no-Raika

Raika is a homunculus created to ensure the power of the Shiranui clan in the magus world. Supposedly made to be the closest thing to a perfect magus and Master- but still too young and unexperienced to truly be outstanding, Raika is indeed a powerful and skilled magus, however they lack some technique. Due to their impulsive, loud and sometimes even bratty behaviour, many declined to be their tutor, resulting in Raika having to learn things mostly by themselves or relying on the help of family members.

The Shiranui clan is an old magus bloodline with Japanese roots, nowadays being one of the main patrons of the MACH-X project. As a result, Raika was one of the very first candidates to participate in the new Grail War. They wished to summon a Berserker or a Saber, but instead a Foreigner answered their call.

Raika is loud, active and full of energy, but has a tendency to get irritated easily. They can often come off as a spoiled brat or even ungrateful due to their lack of response at times, but the reality is that they simply don't know how to 'react right' or don't know what to say, making the situation awkward. Despite their overall childish behaviour, as a magus representing their family Raika is actually serious and mostly responsible in events. Due to their lack of training, Raika relies more on vicious outbursts than calculated technique. When frustrated, Raika tends to run off somewhere and stay away for hours on end without telling anyone.

Under the blazing childishness, however, Raika does have a level of gentleness and serenity which comes out when they're playing the violin. Being highly skilled in music and instruments, Raika sees them as a way to escape from the whole 'being a magus' thing, becoming an entirely different person when asked to play the piano or one of their beloved string intruments.

Strangely, they do pretty well with children and babies.

The Servant they summoned for the Grail War was a Foreigner, whose True Name is Voyager Golden Record.

Abilities

Raika's spells mostly revolve around fire, making them a pyromancer type of magus. Having trained multiple types of martial arts, they prefer close combat as their ability to aim is slightly lacking. Their Command Seals are located along their spine.

• Accretion Elipsa (降着エリプサ)

Allows them to momentarily manipulate gravity around them or their Servant. Said gravity will make it so that objects nearby will orbit them and act as a shield.

• Redshift (レッドシフト)

Grants them or their Servant an incredibly powerful mana boost as well as chance to inflict Burns with any of their/their Servant's attacks. Known as Raika's main skill and is the source of one of their alias.

• Lovell Blazar (ラヴェルブラザー)

A skill that can only be directed towards their Servant. Triples the range of any long-range Noble Phantasms, as well as boosts its power. Despite being a formidable skill, Raika uses it very rarely as it consumes a huge amount of mana, usually resulting in them losing counsciousness after a single use. Its recoil can be alleviated by taking damage, as it absorbs the energy from the enemy's attack, but it's still a highly taxing skill.
