Profile

Miyu hates rain. She loves the scent of it when it drops swiftly onto the wet cement, and she enjoys watching it from the comfort of her house. But she hates it. She hates how everytime she wants to go outside, the rain halts her in her steps. She hates how the rain gets on all her clothing, leaving her wet and soggy by the time she arrived home. She hates not being able to go outside without an umbrella by her side. Miyu hates how the rain ruins her day.

Miyu loves going outside. She loves hiking, swimming in a lake, sports, and camping in the wilderness. She likes walking through groves and groves of fruitful trees, and smelling the crisp air. She yearns to live in the country, but her current school studies prevent that from happening. She wishes to move to the country side once she finishes school, so she can finally step outside into the cool, fresh air every day.

Her backstory is easy, she doesn't have one. Her childhood is all blurred, one memory crossing into the threshold of another. Could it be for she does not find any day significant? Or her childhood was stolen from her at the ripe age of eight?

Her parents wished for her to be a child pageant winner. They kept her bared indoors, pressuring her to learn at least four languages to impress the judges, or practice her speaking to pander to the audience. Miyu was too young to learn of the pressures, until she turned 13. After five years of entering pageants and winning, after all the training, Miyu realized she was not like the other kids. She would stare out her window on the second story and see all the children playing in the sidewalk. She would want to play with them, however, her parents would always say no. One day, when both her parents were busy with work inside, she snuck out and played with the kids. She had never felt more joy in her life! It wasn't the emptiness she felt when she stood in front of an expecting audience, speaking empty words. She was actually communicating and feeling. Miyu loved that feeling, so she snuck out at the same time everyday for a month. Unfortunately, her taste of freedom was short. She tripped one winter afternoon, leaving a giant red gash, and she tried to walk home to tend to her wounds. However, her parents caught her and punished her, no longer letting her go outside. This broke Miyu's free-spirited heart. This was the start of her rebellion. She no longer followed her parent's whims and wonders, and she no longer followed pageants, or went through with it. She learned her parent's dreams were not hers, and she would not take it no longer.

Her parents could not control her anymore, and tried to send her into a military camp. Once there, Miyu started a rebellion against the rules, to which she was sent back home. By the time she was home, she was 16, and most of her childhood was washed away, wafting past day by day. She did not remember any specific details, no birthdays, no friends. It was only pageants, and the dull void in her soul that she remembered. To fulfill the spot she had missed, Miyu promised to spend the rest of her life free, and untied. She was reckless, and stubborn. She needled others, and was a cold-hearted prankster.

But she was finally happy, and that's all that matters.
