During childhood, Asclen knew that he was not like the other kids from the village. His hair was an unexpected colour and his eyes were brighter than others. Growing up, he knew his mother but did not know his father. According to his mother, he had died far away when he was born and although it had been a few years already, his mother still seemed to mourn his death heavily. When he was 4, his mother decided to remarry an honest and humble man from the neighbour village that had fallen deeply in love with her. He had treated her very good and he was like a father figure to Asclen. However, Asclen knew that his mother still had someone else at heart. A year later, his mother was pregnant. Her pregnancy was hard and difficult, which cause complications at the time of birth. Fortunately, both the mother and child survived. He was now a big brother of a baby girl named Alma. His stepfather was delighted to have a child of his own with the woman that he loved, so he spoiled Alma every time he had. However, his bias was already showing since Amelia's pregnancy. He had started to be colder to Asclen and not as involved with him anymore. When Alma was born, even Amelia could see that her husband's reaction had become incredibly bad towards Asclen, but it was too late now. Amelia had suffered a lot and she could not leave her house because of her weak health and Alma was not doing much better either. When he turned 10 and Alma 4, Amelia told them that they were full siblings, and that both of them were born from the love between her and her first husband, Rield. Asclen was confused as to how this was possible. Although he was young, he was bright. Amelia kept on repeating that everyday from then on until the day she passed away. Asclen had just turned 13 and Alma 7. His stepfather was devastated, but still tried taking care of them, especially Alma. Asclen did not care much about it since he was also a very overprotective brother.
However, one day, his stepfather suddenly disappeared. He had left a note saying 'These kids are not mine, why would I stay.' Asclen was puzzled as to how he realized it. He also took with him most of their valuables, leaving just an old wooden house for these kids to fend. The nanny that had taken care of the Crathip family was shocked when she heard the news and gladly took the two children in. Realizing that he could not stay there anymore, Asclen decided to go to one of the Kingdom's most famous magic schools. He had learned in secret with his mother and his mother even praised him for his knowledge, so he was confident that he could get a position there, where talent is valued more than anything. He recalled that his mother had hidden funds, so he took half of it and gave the nanny the other half to take care of his sister.
While in this boarding school, he could not easily leave, but he had the passion to do his best to provide the best environment for the up bring of his little sister. However, one day, he received an urgent letter from the nanny saying that Alma had been kidnapped and disappeared without a trace! He immediately went back and saw that the nanny's house had been flipped all over and most of it had been seriously damaged. The nanny apologized again and again about her negligence but Asclen seemed to not have heard any of it. With his current power, he searched all over the village, he exhausted himself for months, just to come empty handed. After missing classes for so long, the school had given him an ultimatum and the granny also pushed him to go and finish her education and that she would continue with the search for Alma. Asclen did not know why, but he felt that his sister was still alive. With this in mind, he hoped for her best and relentlessly pursued his academic affairs. He was also a scholarship student, so the school would 'hire' his services for a few jobs from time to time. He always chose those that require traveling to many places since he could search for Alma too.
The years passed like that, and he graduated at the age of 19 as one of the best students of medicine from the school. He was recruited by the kingdom's foremost important and powerful magical association where he continued doing long distance tasks to search for his sister. However, with each passing year, he felt her presence diminish little by little to the point that he almost lost any reason to continue with his journey. When he was 22, he recently finished one of his tasks, and had not found her again but for some reason, he was eager to return to the head quarters. Once he had returned, he heard people around him mentioning a new hire in the potions department that was quite young but had the recommendation of the previous department head. He didn't think much of it until he heard someone say that the girl had quite the peculiar hair and eyes. Before he could react correctly, he felt that his blood was boiling and felt that someone really dear to him was closed to him. Immediately, he spotted a girl with the same eyes and hair as him walking around. She seemed very small for her age, but he did not hesitate, he knew that she was the one he had been searching for so long.
