Strong, mostly silent, this merperson feels most comfortable at the dark depths. Able to see in pitch black and tolerant of near-freezing temperatures. Cannot see in the daylight; cannot breathe as strongly above water since he is a deep-sea merman. Modestly old, ~200 years, but his introverted lifestyle has left him with no major memories - no significant loved ones, losses, or gains. Occasionally gets lonely and rises to the surface, at night, to find passerbys to observe - and, occasionally, even to talk to. Wary of, but curious, about human vessles - has heard the stories of pirates snatching up his kind for the slave trade.
