Background History
Originally from Madagascar, Sara was kidnapped from her village by a band of thieves. As she was being taken out of the country, a mysterious senshi appeared and Sara was rescued. At 6 years old, Sara was adopted by Mr. Hayashi, a kind old man who owns a bird sanctuary. Mr. Hayashi taught Sara everything about the birds and as she grew up she felt a deep connection to them.
Today, Sara is a 17-year-old high school student working part-time at the Sanctuary. She is responsible for taking care of the birds, giving tours and educating the public about protecting wildlife. Until she awoke as a Sailor Senshi, Sara thought her life’s mission was to help animals but now she struggles between her duty as a senshi and her devotion to the birds. As the situation on Earth becomes dire, people seem to care even less about wildlife. Will she be able to keep the Sanctuary open and defeat this new enemy?
