Valentina de la Cruz

PERSONALITY:
Valentina's personality is very, very volitale and she is prone to sudden rushes of various emotions. She can go from laughing to dead serious in a half a second. Mostly, she maintains a casual and fun demeanor, although she is a rather unsettling appearing person. However, she is rather uppity and snooty, but not so bad that it affects conversation with her. She's very mysterious, but charismatic, and can sway people to take her side with enough effort. She likes to play jokes on others, and is generally very sarcastic.

APPEARANCE:
Valentina is extremely unsettling to look at if she's in her usual wear. She is always in black, aside from some occassional faded, light blue jeans. Sometimes there are splashes of red in her clothing, usually roses on her clothing. She has lots of tattoos, including roses along her collarbone, and a black snake curling down and wrapping around from her right shoulder to just past her elbow. This tattoo is what her stand appears as when it's not physically materialized. The eyes are made of a metallic gold, and they seem to follow people around. She has a septum piercing, as well as snake bites. The most shocking thing about her appearance is her missing eye. Generally, she has it replaced with a sphere of black glass, giving her a disturbing appearance. When she has to go into public, she wears an ordinary glass eye matching her other eye, or a medical eyepatch. She has a mole above her lip on the right side of her face, and another just below her left eye. She's tall, about 5'8", but she usually adds on a few inches by wearing platform boots.

BACKGROUND:
Valentina was born to a mother she would never know, or care to know. By all legal definitions, she doesn't exist. She was never registered, never given a name, nothing. She was sold by her mother, with the intent of being put into human trafficking. However, she was taken in by a hitman, a woman who only went by the name of Delcine. She was distant to Valentina, but gave her her name, and taught her everything she knew. Delcine was killed when Valentina was 14, her body being discovered by Valentina, who panicked and fled the scene. Valentina was smart, and made friends within the communities that Delcine had introduced her to. By the time she was 17, she was already a skilled assassin. She joined an organization of hitmen, meeting a woman named Mamie Amadeo. She fell in love with her and the two began to date, dating for three years. They were constantly together, aside from whenever they went on jobs or had to be apart.
Nearing the end of the three years, the former boss of the organization was assassinated, and this stirred tension between the two. Mamie suspected Valentina, and they got into the worst fight they'd been in, Mamie going as far as to cut Valentina's eye from her socket. After this, Valentina vanished for nearly a year, but when she returned, she climbed the ranks in her organization and took over as the boss. Mamie confronted Valentina, and although they cleared up who killed the former boss, Valentina poisoned Mamie, torturing her while she was down before curing her at the last minute.
Valentina now keeps her position well, putting everyone below her in their places. She runs into a petty drug dealer, Zaina, taking her into protection when the police are after her. She falls in love with this girl, the first love she's felt since Mamie.
