Cayman was a bit of a troublemaker when he was younger, with a bad attitude and selfish nature- and the tendency to get headstrong and let his impulsiveness control his decisions. The incident that made him change his life around was a terrible storm that destroyed a town near to him, sobering his view of life and helping him to learn how quickly it could be taken away from him. He joined the navy of his country and threw himself into this role in the hopes of helping people. Even if most didn't believe his change from troublesome teen to dedicated military officer- he surprised most by becoming one of the most reliable and hardworking there was. He excelled, going above and beyond expectations and earning his place among his fellow officers. 

He was eventually entrusted with a mission to help people directly- which he humbly accepted with all the conviction of a man who'd found his purpose.

He is polite, earnest, and comes across as a gentleman. He has a professional face that he wears around most. He's charming and has quite a large personality even behind the more rigid shell he uses to maintain his appearance. He isn't afraid to smile, is never too big to apologize, and is quick to understand and read people. To those he's more comfortable with, his old fire most certainly hasn't vanished. He likes to playfully pick on those close to him, and is still a bit of a trickster. He loves good company and loves a fun time. He still surfs in his free time, and loves to relax on the beach with a campfire, a few friends, and the sunset above them.

Though a good guy, he's still got an occasional temper. He is slow to anger, but if he reaches that he can lose sight of things or say things he regrets. He can be reckless, putting himself in danger for the sake of the greater good or helping someone else. He can be naive at times in believing in the good in others, and as a result often finds himself used or disappointed by their realities. He also tends to hold a grudge- and if you wrong him he'll never let you live it down. This also includes towards himself, any failures on his part will weigh heavy on his mind and he doesn't know how to let them go.

Cayman was a reckless and immature surfer in his youth, who saw tragedy in the form of a terrible storm that tore apart the area near his home. Wiping out buildings- and hurting many people. This quickly formed and hardened a resolve in his heart to make the world better and to be one of the people who could help those in need. The wake up call urged him to join the navy, where he spent the better part of his young adulthood training and passing between boats in assistance to various countries and to his duties. 

He eventually was offered a task working undercover as a naval officer as a captain of a ship travelling to a dangerous country south of Xaheth, through treacherous territory ruled by pirates and aggressive wildlife. His mission was to smuggle in aid in the form of medicines, food, and protection to the locals who desperately needed it, and not get killed in the process. 

Though a risky job, he excelled at it- whether it was his militant skill working in his defense, his clever intuition and instinct, or his charisma helping him talk his way out of the worst of situations- he just had a way of getting away with things.
