Question For People Who've Been To A Con

Do You find that signs are helpful in getting people to approach You/You would notice signs? I like to hand out mini knitted freebies at cons and markets, and I'm going to another one soon; I was wondering if a sign letting people know I have them would be worth making or not? The last time I did this I just approached people who's outfit or cosplay I liked or offered them to people who approached me first but I was wondering if making a sign would also work and be worth doing? Just so that people who are maybe less social or not dressed up might have a chance! I really like seeing the excitement on people's faces when they get con freebs, and since I have more time to prep for this one I wanted to see if this might be a way to spread the love a little further!

OOOOOO like a sign on a stick that you can hold up saying "Free handmade (insert name of thing here)"

SATHANUS OHHHH ON A STICK COULD BE GOOD! I was thinking of a wearable one of some sort because I have ADHD so I have that tendency to put something down for a second and not realise I've done it and lose stuff lol! But thank You so much You've just put a way better idea into my head because my concern with a wearable one was the risk people wouldn't notice it lol

SATHANUS

Lol if you brought a bag to carry them in you could have the sign stick out!

SATHANUS oh my god that is a GENIUS idea I never go anywhere without a backpack lol 😭 thank You so much this at least means that if I do decide it's worth it I have a good way of doing it haha!

YESS signs help so much !! I know someone who does and it's awesome since cons can be very busy and people might not know - it also gives em the option to approach you

KilljoyLights the one I'm going to will for sure be way less packed than that (more local thing and not in a major city nor a major con in general) but regardless would You say that a bit above head level sort of thing might be ideal?
